When I said that the total was the same as I would pay as a new customer, they said the price had gone up to £48.31.

So when I asked if I would have to pay £53.31 to renew next year, they didn't seem to know what I was talking about.

    I give up.

You seem so unhappy with them why on earth do you want to remain a customer

This thread talks all about the company you are dealing with:

  • I spoke to them yesterday about the renew charge of £5 and they did offer to waive it so could have renewed for £43.31 but went via Groupon for £39 instead.

How did you renew through Groupon?

Did you just start again? Had your first year expired?

When you buy a Groupon then you get time to use it before it expires

Currently you have till September 30 to use the Groupon to buy a policy

Get cashback when buying Groupons from the usual cashback sites
  • I meant, can the Groupon offer be used for renewal rather than taking out a new policy?

Because I used it last year for this.

The ts & cs will all be set out in the Groupon. Look for "fine print" on the voucher.
  • My autoaid policy runs out in 3 days and I was going to reapply via mse link the day after to get 15 month offer however autoaid say a previous customer has to be at least 6 months ago? This is not specified on mse site? Any help please? :(
  • Hi,

    Quick question.
If you need recovery do you have to pay the recovery firm and then claim back the costs from AutoAid or not?
Can't see that explicitly spelled out anywhere.

    Thanks!

First Post Combo Breaker First Anniversary
It’s paid for by autoaid now. Previously you paid then claimed it back.
