firefox query

I have a strange thing happening with my firefox. If I add a new item to the bookmarks bar at the top it seems to automatically install the item, complete with passwords etc on another computer next door. Whilst this could be useful I also found that if I removed a bookmark on one it disappears on the other as well.

Any idea how to stop this?

It looks like it's called Firefox Sync...

There is an option to stop it from sharing passwords.

It's the same as using Chrome linked to a Google account ... your bookmarks and account details (login/password) for websites are synced across all devices logged in to the same Google account.
