Hey, thanks for that. I got the same as the OP. Been thinking about getting the fancy bulb that changes colour. Will see how this goes and think about it.

Nice one, I'm a HomeCare customer but I still got the code. I don't quite know how many bulbs you get with this though! If it's worth £118, and a hub costs £60, bulbs cost £15 - I guess that means it must be 4 bulbs?

I do hope I can now rig my kid's lightbulbs up with IFTTT to act as a mid-week alarm clock :)

BTW - don't bother phoning Hive.. they don't know about the promotion on their phone lines

    I wonder if it's this kit? https://myhomehack.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/british-gas-hive-active-lights-review.html

Edit - looks like 2 bulks, and it's not worth £118 since you can buy it on Amazon for £55. Still, good for a reward

Definitely wouldn’t pay £118 for that. I already have the hub anyway because I’ve got the thermostat. Might see if I can sell it on eBay and then buy a bunch of individual bulbs.

We have received ours, the lights are good. However we have a thermostat mark 1 and the new hub supplied in the rewards is not compatible. You can upgrade for £99. But as my existing one is okay did not take them up on this offer. Now I am left with a spare hub which is useless.

Not completely useless. Sell it privately or sell it to CEX/Webuy.com :)
