So I signed up to an npower deal on uswtich yesterday.

It had 2 advantages.
I've been with npower in the past.

Anyway, the links etc, seam to be a slightly different branding.
It's Npower SELECT, rather than just npower.

Anyone know what this is all bout ?

nPower themselves don't seem to know what it is

    Here they claim
    What is npower Select?

npower Select is a brand within the npower group which provides non-standard electricity meter customers with access to a range of single-rate tariffs.
    https://customerservices.npower.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1601/~/what-is-npower-select%3F

But the link you provide clearly says
Available for many types of meter

Good news. npower Select tariffs are available whether you’re on a standard or non-standard meter.

Call us on 0800 048 0575 or 0330 100 7575 and we can help you decide if moving your non-standard electricity tariff to a single rate tariff is right for you.
although it's only available as online or via the app
npower Select is available through selected brokers only (such as uSwitch)

Perhaps they've recently extended the types of meters they support?
This is what their website said earlier this month
    company information

npower Select is the brand established for a small number of npower Limited customers with non-standard meters. It operates within the Npower Group of companies, through a wholly owned subsidiary, PS Energy UK Limited. All electricity is supplied by Npower Limited under the terms and obligations of it’s electricity supply licence. The npower Select web site is supplemented by the web site of Npower Limited where you may find additional helpful information.

Well it’s a different website and a different app.

They suggest meter readings every 2 weeks

Npower won’t take on any customers that are multi mpan so new customers are offered npower select which combine all of the usage on the meter on one tariff rate. For example day night and heat are added together and charged on a fixed tariff for example. This is different company, same license I would have thought, as they have power shop also.

It’s hard to remember tbh. I think all was well.

Market prices dropped, so wasn’t with them long.

The 2 week meter reads were annoying

Ah ok thanks. I’m just about to move to them with smart meters so hopefully that will take care of the readings issue.
