Am I doing the right things to improve my credit history?

I have a virgin mobile contract (which would be considered a high brand model phone)
I have a £500 overdraft facility with nationwide (not overdrawn)
I have a flex plus account with nationwide.
I have a Vanquis credit card for £500 (currently owe £20.90)
I have one account with Jacimo for £150
I am still unable to get a mainstream credit card. What other things should I do to improve my credit history?

  • Are you clearing the card in full each month?

If so, all you need now is time.
  • I am clearing the credit card every month.

I'm not spent anything on the jacamo account, when I made the account they automatically give me £150.00 credit balance.
I sometimes utilise my overdraft but never more than £100. It gives an option to increase overdraft if I wanted.
I recently switched to the flex plus account, there is a fee of £13 a month for this account, will this be beneficial to helping improve my credit history?
  • No. Never pay for an account unless the benefits outweigh the costs.

Stay out of your overdraft. It tells lenders you have no disposable income.

Try for another sub prime card to add a wider variety of history.
  • Packaged accounts aren’t reported as being packaged accounts.

    Keep out the overdraft.

The model of phone you have will not be shown on any CRA file, only how you are conductiong the account. As long as you are paying the account every month on time and in full every month, then that'll be good. :)
I have a £500 overdraft facility with nationwide (not overdrawn)
If you are not using it, then it will not assist your credit history
(although it may affect your ability to gain more credit, such as a loan or credit card, as you already have a line of credit available to you)
I have a flex plus account with nationwide.
Not sure the details of this specific account or how it may assist you or otherwise, sorry
I have a Vanquis credit card for £500 (currently owe £20.90)
As long as you are paying it off every month in full and on time, that is probably good.
I have one account with Jacimo for £150
If you are not using it, again it will not assist you, but may hinder you as it is another line of credit already available to you

    Read this :)

Why do you want a mainstream credit card?
You have a credit card with a £500 limit, and you only have used about £20 this month.
It'll be accepted at all the same places any other mainstream card will be.
As I said, hopefully you are paying it off in full every month, in which case the high interest rate that may apply on the card won't affect you.
