MOB Outfit?

Shortly will be looking for an outfit for the summer - but not sure where to start.

I'm usually very economical with clothes but this is a time to not be frugal - but I don't want to waste money either.

Lots of people tend befitting the event.go to the specialist MOB shops which are really pricy.

Where does Country Casuals and Jacques Vert stand in the label stakes - I tend to like the look of their things but want to have something that is not too down market. I'm not a label snob but think as MOB you have to go the extra bit.

Any other suggestions welcome. I'll be having a trip to Debenhams soon and looking online at John Lewis.

My mum wore jacques vert to my wedding and she looked amazing! She got her’s in one of the Debenhams sales and got the whole outfit for the original price of the dress and then my brother treated her to the matching hat.

It’s not the sort of thing she would have normally worn at all but it suited her perfectly and she got loads of lovely comments during and after when people saw the pictures

  • Thanks Faith - thats good to know. I quite like the look of the Jacque Vert stuff and it seems to be middle of the road, not ridiculous designer prices but not common or garden high street either.

Loads of MOB stuff on ebay, it's the sort of clothing that many people buy and only wear once so you may pick up a really nice outfit at a fraction of what it would cost new.
  • Yes thanks MysteryMe - I am looking on ebay to get ideas - the only thing there is you cannot just have it to try on - I don't mind buying ordinary stuff off there as if its no good I just donate it but if spending quite a bit more I want to try it first - paying £?? or so on something that is no good isn't much of a saving.
  • John Lewis, Monsoon, Debenhams, ASOS perhaps, independent local shops, online, even eBay depending what you want - you could get some designer outfit only worn once but in great condition!
  • Yes ebay has great bargains - but I'll want to try it on really. I did try a bolero jacket the other day that wasn't too flattering - also I need a 14 dress and probably a 12 jacket.

Welsh babe, might we enquire as to your age group so as to suggest potential shops or designers ?
