The Poundworld bargains thread

Sorry to hear Poundworld are having troubled times. I don't visit or post as much on this thread, because
1) Poundland has much more generous opening times (eg, 9pm most nights in Argyle Street, Glasgow!!) and
2) Their pricing system, is, quite frankly, a mess - the amount of times I've had to slightly embarrass myself putting things back because it's not had a shelf label, and the price is higher - with a big queue behind me, was getting beyond a joke!
3) I think the range of makeup isn't as good as it was, and many toiletries/pharmacy items that were originally £1 weeks before the takeover got hiked up (eg, Aussie products) - maybe this lost customer interest/loyalty as well? See Post #173 where I mention this https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=72484836&postcount=173
That's not to say that Poundland don't muck up, but usually they either take the misplaced/mispriced item back, or say you can buy it for £1 and they'll sort the shelves/labelling out. (There's still the odd mis-price here and there at Poundland - most recently this (at the £1 section but other HUKDers said it was £2 https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/brasso-75g-or-silvo-75g-metal-polish-wadding-1-in-store-poundland-argyle-street-glasgow-2922798 )).
Would be interesting to hear what their original owner, Christopher Edwards Snr thinks (I knew it was Chris from the BBC programme a few years back, had to Google his full name)! There's a recent article about this https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-44446576
I wish him the best of luck, he seemed like an amiable chap and a man who knew his customers and suppliers inside-out.
Anyway, I posted these on HUKD last week - shelves emptied quickly - but there's more in the Argyle Street store again as of last night. Maybe because the sun has disappeared Sanpellegrino Limonata (Lemon) Or Aranciata (Orange) 2 For £1.
My picture is the original from 5th June, but there were plenty more on shelves last night. Also, these are the SUGARY version, not the re-formulation (wut!) with Stevia in them!!

I didn't realise that Poundworld traded under different names. The bargain store in my local high street - which I usually avoid in favour of Poundland - caught my eye earlier because of its closing down sale. I only realised the association when I got to the till and saw the sign referring to Poundworld.
Ther were a few thing there, apart from gardening stuff at half price many items I bought were wants and not needs.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
