Savvy travellers would have withdrawn local currency from an ATM on said Island before going to the bar0 -

Why do people always come out with this argument when someone recommends using a card for travel?
What do you do when you're at home? Do you get paid in cash and keep it under the mattress or something? Most of us keep our money in the bank and use an ATM when we want some cash. And savvy travellers do exactly the same thing when abroad...Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

The post was taken in jest as the op had provided very little detail and as most people only know Ramsdens as chip shop that is where the humour went.
No the internet IS for me. I am fine with the internet. So thanks for digging me up and I don't understand why two people have pressed "thanks" to your reply!
P.S..... Harry Ramsdens is a chip shop. Ramsdens is something entirely different.0 -
Not unless you arrive at midnight in a small resort, some cash is handy if you want a drink or two before going to bed.:rotfl:
Last time I went to Greece they had an ATM in the baggage reclaim hall at the airport, so you could get some cash while waiting for your bags to show up.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
