Yes, it was all wrong. The difficulty is that the measurements do change when I clamp onto logically equivalent Kirchoff points at the schematic.

Anyway, I moved at lunchtime from all neutral to all live. It was somewhat more difficult getting to the clamp on points and I had to retrofit the wiring a little.

Now grid power clamp is connected at the only one inch of large diameter live cable where it enters the consumer unit before any switch. The two solar clamps are fitted to the live wire between the solar isolator and inverter side of the meter.

Now I will need to see whether that give a peculiar overnight reading.

Hurray, I think you have cracked it; 0 gen overnight....:T..:j:j..coffee.gif
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

For once I seem to have done ok!

    Best day eveeeeerrr!
If it's not clear from the pic, and to save those with addled brains (nice bottle of Lidl red going down at the mo!!), then 24.37kWh = a maiden+ (6.0925 of my loverly bioatches!!)
Scaryily, just seen lewgomans post, I need another35.64kWh to hit pvgis target

    26_5_15_inverter.jpg

I contacted SolarEdge support on Friday (night, 22.36!), as I had nowt better to do having joined the great unwashed!

I asked them if they could do a couple of things, advise on a couple of others and I gave my reasons why I didn't want my installer going near things again - not a long story but thats for another day!!

Anyways, minor solaredge portal niggles, slightly bigger technical issue, and a big issue which I had been pouring over the net for info for a wee while!

    So, what happens?

    email yesterday lunchtime, simply saying...

    "Dear Sir,

    New API key: blahblahblah etc

    Site name updated.

    Azimuth changed to 135 deg.

Please let me know if you need further help."

    OK, good start!!

2nd email follows, 30 mins later:

    "Dear customer,

Software update done. If you would like a list of certified SE installers in your area, please let me know."

Checked the inverter panel, yes can see new software, different functions available!

Not a big thing, but SolarEdge suggested back in January that I update the firmware, but I wasn't prepared to let numnuts inc. break things again, or make wild accusations!!

So, out of all this, I just wanted to say a big up (ta Oded) to SolarEdge support, don't know why I didn't ask for everything back in January!!

Oh, and with the correct SolarEdge API, it all works beautifully with pvouput and weatherunderground (ta Aging Stick Insect and jimmyboy420for the lead info), although I'm running about 1.5hrs behind?!

    pvoutput_26_5_15_daily.jpg

Will check that tomorrow, it may just be because I changed the pvoutput info around 8.30 this morning?

    We'll see what happens tomorrow!

Is it sad that I still get excited by new pretty pictures!!! Get my OEM EmonPi soon, so I'll have more info to share!!
