afternoon all - we are treeless, cards down, Christmas 2017 over and the house is looking very bare
WE did a perfunctory tour of the shops this morning, nothing of note, only really got a couple of 50p bottle bags from morribobs.
The yellow labels around here are not even worth a 2nd look but I got my 1st and only pack of 6 mince pies from Sainsbobs for 50p.
Both of us suffering with the post Christmas malaise - possibly more mental exhaustion than physical
Errant son is due back on Wednesday so we really need to just relish our aloneness over the next few days“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

TBH some of the PC nonsense really P's me off.
I was not allowed for take pictures of my own daughter performing in her Xmas panto a couple of years ago due to peoples "concerns"
Maybe i'm being a little naïve but what is the worst someone could do with a couple of pictures from a school panto it they were that way inclined?Unfortunately there have been some cases when children, who are in care for their own protection, have been found by abusive parents due to parents posting pictures from school shows on social media.
Hello pippo, sadly this is all to true.
It is amazingly scary how a simple photograph can become used to abuse or have terrible consequences for the child including having to move from a safe home.100 -

Its knowing though it if and when the next freebie will come along which might or might not be your nearest/usual supermarket - it could well be a supermarket you dont have, an item not stocked (often the case with my supermarkets) or something unusuable or a one day offer (always mid week)
To me 20p in real money for Moma bircher muesli yog is very good as we dont get the yellow label bargains around here.
And buying something that costs 25p in real money for the food bank is reasonable enough.
Also in Sainsburys you can at least use some of your nectar balance instead of real money.
OHs COS balance is £15 odd so not long now until it reaches twenty - he has one ammount stuck, the other COS account is £19 odd - January is a long month and it would help the housekeeping cashflow to withdraw from both of these early in January - I expect its similar for many people.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
