Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2018 4th Dec 17 at 3:17 AM
Welcome to PART 1 OF Pay ALL Your Debt Off By Xmas 2018!

Firstly I would like to welcome all new and existing members from last years thread.

Anyone is welcome to join this challenge and it is NEVER too late. There is also no amount of money too small or too large that will stop you from joining this challenge. We have several members who will be on their debt journey for several years to come, but they are part of this thread to pay off a fixed amount of their debt as the support on here is fantastic!
So, if you think you can pay off all your debts by Christmas or have a goal to pay off a certain amount then please join in!

This challenge runs until 27th December 2018.

To help me run this thread easily, could you please all post your totals in large text and in a bold colour and post the amount you have paid off // target amount

It would also be a big help if you could also put with it your challenge number.
i.e. another £50 paid off so now the total paid off for

    #001 is £315.43/£7685.67
By the way, don't worry about working out your % paid as I can do that for you!

    Hi,

Just come across this. I'd like to join if possible. My target is February 2019 but I'll post here anyway.

At the end of February with my debt at its worst I owed off the top of my head:

    £2k overdraft
£6,100 payday loans if only making the minimum payment each month.
    £750 credit card
    £350 phone contract
    Total: 9,400

    Currently:
    £1,950k overdraft
£2,800 payday loans if only making the minimum payment each month.
    Friends: £475
    £2,200 credit card
    £250 phone contract
(£100 owed but not including as it's risky)
    Total: 7,675

I will be getting a raise on my credit limit to hammer the payday loans at the end of the month.

Excited to report another £28.85 of gumtree and ebay money paid off the debt, so hit £58%

Have my regular £250 coming out on the 25th so will be over 60%. Would not be there without my ebay and gumtree money, chipping away and getting excited about possibly debt free at Christmas if I keep on this way!
19/12/14: Spent 10 years of savings!!
..... to buy my first home.
    10K OP 31.03.19

Current goal: 1,145.76/5K in selling home expenses!

Wheee! Just before payday and my £250 regular saver has come out so I officially have hit 60% repaid. less then 4K remaining and 5 paydays to do it. Going to need to get thinking about how to do this...

Right! There's actually 6 paydays before the end of the year. So if I keep paying the £350pm I currently am then I need £1838.55 or £306.43pm extra to hit my goal!
