Baby steps to mortgage freedom for beanielou. 4th Nov 14 at 1:19 PM
My first thread on the MFW board!!
My mortgage has 6 & 1/2 years left to run.
My income seems to decrease more & more & it becomes more & and more of a challange to pay my hefty(to me) mortgage.
I have managed an overpayment last month as I got some £££'s unexpectedly.
My biggest fear is not being able to pay my mortgage & loosing my home.
So I have decided that baby steps are the way forward~even a fiver or a tenner overpaid in a month is better than nothing.

Don't feel guilty about getting the scooter if it makes your life easier. Mr SA was a bit iffy about getting one at first but at least it makes the difference between him sitting in the house all day and getting out and about locally. He's not allowed to drive because of his brain damage and he'd just be stuck in without it. Once you've got it you won't know how you ever managed without it. Just don't run anyone over

Hi Beanie Hope you're having a good day in all respects. I think you should get a hand mirror and take a few minutes each day to look into it while chanting, Beanie, you are strong, kind, caring, helpful, supportive and anything else you can think of that comes to mind xx

I have a couple of other things really playing on my mind at the moment.
One is to do with the food bank.
The other is to do with a social event/fundraiser that I am going to in a couple of weeks. DS's GF is organising it. I have said I am going which I will but a couple of my ex sisters in law will be there. Have very mixed feeling & I know it will be very hard.

Is it a problem with the FB or a decision making worry if that makes sense?

I'm sure DS and GF will be sensitive to the situation. Is it a big enough event that you don't have to spend time or be in the vicinity of your sister-in-laws if you don't want to be. And would you be able to turn up to show support but maybe not stay for the whole event - if that's what you're worried about of course. I could be on completely the wrong track here xx

Yes hope all is well Beanie?

I have been writing my worries down in a notebook which has helped, under the headings - what is worrying me? (doh!), what about this is out of my control?, what is within my control? what can I do right now to work towards a positive solution?

I got it from a course at work and it has really helped to stop my mind going over stuff that I can't control.

    Thinking of you!
