Still lurking - glad to see some positives - Monna fingers crossed, Burtha sending positive vibes, Mrs LW for HWK and the grandpickles.

So looking like we are still moving ahead on the sale of the "matrimonial home" - I have been up this week to move 6 plants and take some rose cuttings. Nsdh keeps phoning - I have the horrible feeling I'm being wooed - um 25 years too late

My word it's wild and woolly out there today! I walked down to the shops and the wind was blowing so hard there were times when I was being blown across the pavement towards the road when I walked past a gap in the buildings, quite scary! We've just had a huge gust and a 'kerthunk' from the garden and it had blown over garden chairs, the bird table and the heavy wooden cover on the log store. Thankfully nothing broke and I've moved all that could be against the fence and into as much shelter as there is. It's cold out there too, I was back in winter coat, hat and gloves.....swizz I liked the warm bit much better. Hope all of you are OK, particularly down in the far south where there are reports of big power cuts, stay safe xxx.
You've always had the power my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself!

Sounds nasty Mrs LW. Congrats on the new Grandbabies, you must be so excited.

It's not been too bad here, a bit wet at times but not windy. It seemed strange hanging the washing on the pulley, haven't done that in weeks!

Not a lot of rain here, but the sea breeze overstretched the mark by a considerable distance. If I hadn't had enough natural ballast I could have been blown away.

SO - be only made it once but if you can us marmalade don't see why you couldn't use jam. TBH if you don't like it you won't do it again lol. & If it turns out well you can let us all know
The weather report is for rain over the next few days so thought I might have a baking session but apparently no lemon curd in Liddly so I'll have to nip in to Morry's in the morning. I've got a couple of jars of nut butter that we don't particularly care for so Im going to use it up in some biscuits or flapjacks or something

Slinky - I did use the nut butters in some cookies - turned out OK and the evidence has been eaten

Morning all - haven't been here in too long. Really busy trying to shape my thesis and all guns blazing for an October completion - but it is galloping towards me.

OH retired on Friday so it's going to be all change. We went away for the weekend, keeping it low key and hassle free (i'm a poet and....) by going to Hampton COurt. As I overheard someone say on our way out "I expected it to be good, but it exceeded my expectations".

Hope all are well, how exciting Mrs LW TWO grand pickles...

Shanks - sorry you are having a rotten time... <<hugs>>

Ho, burtha. I think we're all around still. Just RL is giving us the runaround, well, RL is giving me the runaround anyway.
Am I moving? Am I not moving? Who would know? Certainly not the Estate Agents or Solicitors, that's for sure.

Hope you are still happy in your new home. Any movement on the old house? Is 33mw still imagining that he is selling some des res in Mayfair?

Poor deluded fool. When it is all over I bet he will be more upset about losing money than losing the love and respect of his children. Idiot!

I know we desperately needed rain, well the gardens round here certainly did, but not too much please, and not when I have no option but to go out in it.

    How's the running going burtha?

Gosh burtha, very well done. Be very proud of yourself. You have had every excuse to sit at home and mull over the tough hand you have been dealt. Instead you have put yourself out there and succeeded in reaching all of your goals. You are an inspiration.

Both Grandpickles to be are growing and mum's bumps are getting bumpier! both daughters most happy but at the stage of growing babies where they are tired all the time poor loves. A visit to the city for supplies this morning furnished Frieda who is DD1s bump with a couple of lovely little summer sleeveless romper/sunsuits with little frills on the shoulders and ruched elastic round the neckline. If we get a warm September as we did when DD1 was born they will keep picklekins nice and cool, one is pink and the other blue and white stripes. Charity shops seem to have a great deal of brand new stock in for children at most reasonable prices.

    Ok ......
    So .....
    I'm divorced

3mw is still the same , kids are now deleting his 16 sec voice mails , when he can be bothered ....
    It's been a strange week ....
43 percent of his pension and 75/25 of anything left of the house
So stood my ground , battered and bruses , but I'll live ,
Now just need to rebuild from here ..
Thank you to everyone on here , when I've ranted and lost the will to carry on . You where there , the times I have had no one else ,I had you .
Even just to read along ,to know that normal life was going on ,keeps things real .
    So onwards and upwards .
    Xx
