No specific target again this year, just set your own.

Whether you will be walking, running, cycling or swimming I hope that you will use this thread to keep us updated on your progress.

It is good to have a target to aim for but don't over stretch yourself so much that you either get disappointed in your own progress or find that you have too much to make up after coming back from a holiday or extra work having cut back your miles.

I say miles simply because I am old and still measure that way but your own personal challenge could be anything from miles, kilometers, laps, steps etc.

Definitely been flagging this month (though in my defence, Runkeeper lost several of my walks as it get very upset when I explored some caves during my walks/hikes on holiday!).

Up to a total 193.4 miles for the year. I'm aiming for a total of 1000 miles in the year, and have just registered for a local 10k run in October to give me something to train towards as I'd like to start running again. Fingers crossed, that will help speed up my progress somewhat!!

London Marathon done yesterday, first ever marathon and little training, and narrowly missed out on a sub-6 hours time by less than 30 secs, very happy with that!

Anyway: 42 miles for me last week bringing me up to 732 for the year to date.

42.79 miles this week (down on the last two weeks but I’ve been busy at work) and 741.53 miles for the year so far.

I’ve signed up for a Race At Your Pace challenge for the month of May to help keep my motivation up!

I use run keeper or just the health tracker on the phone, sometimes both together and they always give different results. Would be interested to find if anyone has found anything really accurate.

2 weeks to add - 42.92 miles and 41.8 miles last week. (I'm blaming the lower number on a hospital appointment that took all afternoon. I was stiff as a poker after sitting on a hard plastic chair for 3 hours!)

112.8 mies for the month so far and 826.85 miles for the year.

So here I am again after vowing to check in every week ..........well the will was there

So here are my missing totals.....

    39.70

    37.02

    42.17

    37.28

    36.73

    192.90 total to add

Not impressed with any of these. Not made any effort to get extra steps in although I have started a new fitness class which will improve my fitness no end if I keep it up. Had a chest infection the past week and hopefully its on its way out so will try to do better.

A much more normal 47.5 miles run this week, although I did do 125 miles on the bike too!
945 miles done for the year to date so probably about on course to hit the 2019 target.

I'm currently up to 232 miles (out of 1000) so need to up my game if I'm to stay in it to win it! I've finally got an operation date for a couple of weeks time, which will have me out of action for a while but hopefully I'll be able to be a lot more active again once properly recovered as I've been really struggling the past several months

    I’ve been lax updating lately!

    Last 3 weeks - 39.32
    40.32
    40.88

A bit lower than I wanted but still on target. Total for the year so far is 990.20. I need to up my weekly totals a little bit, which will be easier if it ever stops raining!

    Latest weekly mileage to add

    42.84
    44.05
    42.25

For the month of June I did 179.62 and so far in 2019 it's 1118.92 miles, so well on target for 1750 miles by the end of the year.

Another low mileage week for me due to racing again today. Sadly racing next week and the week after too now so they will be low also.
So just 31.5 miles to add to the total this week.

In July I walked 181.61 miles, bringing my yearly total to 1276.2.

I feel like I should be doing more miles per week but it’s been far too hot! I find it easier to walk when it’s cooler. Bring on the Autumn.
