The financial ombudsman sent me this about them today, Im claiming back the gap insurance as it was missold and they failed to disclose the commission they were getting from the insurance company who was fully regulated :

"A number of people have contacted us about similar issues and were currently considering how to resolve them in a fair and consistent way. This complaint is particularly complex compared with most other complaints we see. Weve been looking carefully at the information you and the business have sent us and well move things forward as soon as we can."

So if you had car finance with them and were fobbed off, raise a new complaint with DAF , subject access them as they still have all your docs going back to the year dot, bank cards, letters, id etc which dpa they shouldn't still have either.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
