Do not buy from CURRYS PC World & Know How Team 13th May 19 at 2:01 PM
Currys PCWorld Team Know How are an absolute disgrace. Having bought a TV from their store, we were sold the installation package for 199 and given a time slot between 8am-1pm the following Saturday. What we didnt know is that they outsource to another company to carry out the installation. On the morning, we received a call from the engineer to say that he would not arrive until 4pm. Day was then rearrange and by 4:30 no one had turned up. We called Team Know How and was told that it wasnt their responsibility and to call the installer. As far as the law is concerned, the contract lies with the company you purchase from but they would not accept this and told us that our rights as a customer meant nothing. We called the sub contractor and was told the office was closed but hed try and email the lead engineer to see what was happening. At 6pm (2 hrs after re arranged appointment) we received a call from engineer who said hes be with us at 7pm after a small job. By 8pm he had still not arrived and we have heard nothing since. We called Currys PC Know How, again this afternoon and they responded in the same manner as on the first occasion, rude, abrupt, disrespectful and dishonest. We have no solution and they have 748 of our money. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY

It is expensive but at that price I assume it will be a wall mounting package. That said, a private installer will do that for you far cheaper including chasing cables into the wall to hide them and any additional power sockets needed etc.

    Or you?

Have you rung the installation team today?
I know you say your contract is with Currys but if it was me, I'd be chasing the installer.

Did you pay on credit card? Can you do a section 75 based on them failing to deliver the contract? Cancel the entire order, TV included.

Oh, and you are correct, it is Currys' responsibility to ensure their sub contract deliver & installation is done properly because they are the ones who took your money.
(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)

My experience with my last attempted purchase from Curry's a dishwasher which never arrived a day wasted waiting in, given a ridiculous excuse so I cancelled and went to AO. Curry's lost a 400 sale the moral "you snooze you loose"

I remember pc world.. from the 90s and early 00s when we had to build our own computers. There was always a bigger cue at the service/returns desk than the sale counters.
