lunch bars would be eaten in seconds in my house too!
courgette, pea & mint soup, melon, peaches and tomatoes for lunch for me.
Also (virtuously) made oh a sandwich too (really annoys me he never considers that he is going to need to eat - b/l or d - so never considers getting something out of the freezer but will complain there's nothing to eat!)DF as at 30/12/16

Morning early risers!
I've messed up somewhat today in that I bought a YS tabbouleh and falafel salad thingy last night but I've just noticed that it went through the till at the full price of £2.80  I need to keep a closer eye on the till as this is the second time I've done this (contactless just makes it too easy to pay.)
So lunch today has sadly cost me £2.80 plus 16p for some crisps from a multipack so a grand saving of 4p!

That's so frustrating FVD. I've done it too.
Had cereal for breakfast, worked out it cost around 20p so that's a massive saving from if I'd bought it for £2.50 or more. Don't think I actually looked at the real cost before and am stunned.
Made a cheese and cucumber sandwich for lunch and will have a can of tomato soup with it. Definitely need to up my game with you guys having such interesting meals0 -

Ok, I can see I have to really raise my game here. I thought I was doing well just buying stuff cheaper, but now I see home made Better Times and using up leftovers Juilaskitchen etc this has challenged me to a whole new level. My baking skills are rudimentary, but I feel inspired to bake some fruit scones, lets see how that turns out this afternoon! As for using up leftovers, there rarely are any, but maybe I could make a bit extra and use next day for lunch.

Day 4
The last portion of tuna pasta bake. I'm quite happy it's finally finished now. Won't want pasta bake for a while now!
I conquered my first obstacle today - OH was like, shall we just just get hips at lunch? I'm proud of myself for saying no and having the pasta bake and watching him eat his chips whilst I did. Certainly much healthier option had by me!February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

I've been watching this challenge from afar, as eating while at work is my single biggest expense. I can generally spend about £150-200/month in the shops near where I work It's such a waste because we throw so much food away that could be taken into work and used!
This week I followed the challenge, but forgot to take lunch on Friday. So my total spend so far in August is £4.72 ( to give you an idea how much of a triumph this is, the week before I spent £25.72!)0 -

I'm getting geared up ready for work tomorrow and saved some cauliflower cheese and sweet corn for lunch, in fact I put the cauliflower cheese bake in the oven after dishing it up so it would burn a little as I love the burned bits on the side, I just have to resist eating it tonight...
Talking of resisting, how in hell do you manage to only eat two squares of chocolate glass_half_full?! I'm an all or nothing chocolate eater myselfMake £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
