This is the new thread for those trying for a baby.
    The previous one is here:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=5143999

Please be aware that this is a thread for those trying to conceive. If you wish to announce a pregnancy (or are only a couple of days from testing) and you have never used this thread before, please either wait until CD1 or use the less than 12 weeks pregnant thread. Hormones can run high on here (nature of the thread!) so please be sensitive. Many thanks!

As with everything deemed medical, we cannot offer medical advice, so please visit or call your GP if you have any concerns or questions. Getting a preconception check up is recommended and allows your GP to know that you're trying for a baby as well as identifying and rectifying any issues or problems that may interfere with a pregnancy before you conceive.

Good luck PKK, as you say you only need that one lucky swimmer!

Currently CD 15 - We have managed to BD on CD 8, 11, 13,14 & hopefully tonight & tomorrow (or maybe just tomorrow) So i think we have this fertile week pretty much covered! haha.
Were off on our Holidays tomorrow, so the 2 week wait should go pretty quickly.

Welcome to the board unoriginal_uk, More the merrier as we're a little thin on the ground atm.

We don't have a list at the moment as there's only a few of us lurking about, but if it gets a bit busier then i'll set one up.

Thanks so much it’s just nice to have some company. TTC can feel so frustrating and isolating sometimes.

I've had a few more days of light spotting, but I'm not worrying about it, I'm putting it down to ovulation and Hope's it doesn't carry on, just going to let the next 2 weeks pass by and see what happens.

Skimper fingers crossed it is a good sign of a BFP being on the way!

We self referred to the fertility clinic last night. It was just a form on their website with our details on so hopefully we will hear from them next week. I think we need to fill in an initial questionnaire and then book in for a scan and consultation.

We've filled out our initial questionnaires from the fertility clinic, so got to ring them this week and book in my initial scan, then we have a meeting with the consultant. Fingers crossed we can fit them in in the next couple of weeks.

We've had the results of the OH sperm test, he has the normal amount of swimmers, they said the volume of sperm should be 3% and he only had 2% but I think that's because he missed the pot! Haha so he has to go back and do another test.

So all good news I guess, so just down to luck that it's not happening! Which is a bit frustrating.
I want to go forward and focus on being healthy and losing weight, doing things I've always wanted to do/learn, and hopefully that will have a positive effect.

That's good news that his analysis came back fine Skimper. At least with a retest you can be confident that it's always ok too!

I need to refocus on being healthy too. These last few months I've really lost all control and put on alot of weight, whch isn't good for TTC!

I've got my fertility scan in a couple of weeks and then our consultation just over a week later so hopefully by the end of the month we should have a better idea where we stand and what options we have.

Oh no Skimper! I hate having a stomach bug, I hope you are feeling better today!

My AF is due tomorrow (Tues) according to FF, although this would be shorter cycle than normal but according to my BBT's I ovulated a few days earlier than normal. I am hoping FF is accurate as if it comes later in the week it may stop me from having my scan next week!

How is everyone else getting on?

I'm still feeling pretty crappy, nausea and tiredness.

Spotting started yesterday right on time, so will just have to wait and see if it turns in to AF, which it probably will.

AF arrived as predicted. I'm glad it will be out of the way ready for my scan on Monday!

I hope you feel better soon skimper! Nausea and tiredness could be an early sign, maybe take a HPT if AF isn't here soon!

I had my scan at the fertility clinic yesterday. The doctor said all looks good with my womb, ovaries and follicles. We have our consultation next week so should find out our options and the prices (eek!) next week!

Hello everyone 👋🏻 I only joined Forums today after getting mse email today. I wish Iíd known about this community earlier. Iíve been trying for 2.5 years- itís been really tough. No one talks IRL about the pressure of having sex ALL THE TIME even when neither of you really Ďwantí to. I had a miscarriage last year in Oct which really sent me in a spin mentally. As I say- a really tough couple of years.

Iíve been using a fertility monitoring bracelet (I wonít say the name in case I get accused of selling it) and I only had it for a month and I am now 7w pregnant. (I have everything crossed as it was at this point I lost my last pregnancy).

The bracelet is really expensive (for my budget at least) but it has a good resale value on eBay...but first Iím lending it to my friend who is also struggling. If we can get 2 babies it will be worth it!

I wouldnít normally post something like this, but I had to share as it has been a total game changer for me and I hope it helps someone else.

    X
