Thankfully it's the weekend! It's been a very long, hard week. Glad it's over with.
Stayed in with pup last night and had a quiet evening with telly and a bottle of wine. With the mad work week and family visitors all weekend last week I feel like I haven't had any time to myself.
Had a fairly productive morning - took the mini woofer to the vet first thing for his final vaccinations (all good, he's growing and putting on weight, although I think he's still a bit too skinny), been to do the shopping at tesco, cleaned the house from top to bottom, done a load of laundry and sorted the paperwork and banking.
Now finally having a little sit down after lunch.....

It's payday on Friday and it can't come quickly enough. I'm not overdrawn or haven't used credit cards etc but I've spent half of the £200 contingency money I put aside for the month. Lots of little things, some necessary, some not. Annoyingly, my expense claim won't be paid until July's payday as the new system wouldn't process it quickly enough - will still be in time for holidays though. I'll have another one to submit in two weeks so it should be a bumper payment - one way of saving I suppose.
Had to pay an extra £35 for wormers and flea treatment today too -.while he's so little I don't want to give the pup anything that hasn't come from the vet, just in case.
No real plans for the weekend so no big spends anticipated. I've bought a box of hair dye today and will sort my very grey roots tomorrow. I'll book an appointment for a cut and colour for after pay day - I don't have the energy or inclination to spend 3 hours in the hairdressers at the moment and the additional spend could be done without.
There's enough petrol in the car for the week and I've filled the fridge so there shouldn't too much in the way of extra big outlays this week.

Going to have a couple of hours pottering around and watching some catch up telly and will have a nice soak in the bath. Will probably see OH later.

Just remembered that's it's Father's Day next weekend and so have bought golf stuff on line to be delivered to dad and a moonpig card. I'd already put the money in another account so no additional spending.

Have also made a hair appointment for next Saturday.
Been doing a bit of dog training and we're both a bit tired now so I think an hour of telly and a snooze are in order. It's pouring down outside so no incentive to go anywhere.....

Been quite busy this morning - been for a 5km run (felt quite sluggish but done now), done a bit of tidying, popped to Pets at Home for a new collar and harness (he hates the one he has so we're trying a lighter weight smaller version) and phoned mum.
My neighbour is refusing to take any money for seeing to the dogs (I promised her the equivalent of the dog walkers fees) so I have a bit of spare cash I wasn't accounting for. Bonus!
Just in the process of doing my roots, they're a disgrace and can't last a week until the hair appointment . Not my favourite job but very necessary.
We stayed over at OHs last night and he cooked a lovely three course dinner and we all had a fairly early night - even the two dogs settled quickly for sleep so everyone must have been tired, but I was awake at 5am - I suppose it's my body clock time for getting up for work and my pup is getting into the habit of it now too..,. Never mind - who needs a Sunday lie in!

Need to do a spot of ironing and walk the dog (still carrying him until next weekend) but other than that there's nothing much to do. I was going to cut the back lawn but it keeps chucking it down intermittently so that's out if the window. Might see OH later but nothing big planned.
I'm always the same way - shattered and desperate for a quiet weekend but bored of it after one day..... I'm just not cut out for the quiet life I suppose ;)

Mum has kindly offered to do the 3 - 4 hour drive here in a few weeks to stay overnight to collect the pup - she's looking after him whilst I'm away on a week long abroad school trip (not my idea of fun but at least it will be warm and sunny where we're going). I think she just wants to visit again but I'm not complaining as it will save me a nightmare drive after work on the Friday evening and the petrol money (she always refuses to take any - I'll buy her a present instead to show my appreciation) she just wants pup though - they all love him so I'll have to wrestle him back from them when I get home!

It's the last full week of exams this week thankfully - then there's a week if year 10 mocks to contend with (it's my job to organise and oversee them all...)
Every teacher says the last half term should be the easiest one of the year and then realises that's it's one of the hardest ones - exams, trips, prom, sports day, induction days, fun runs - you name it it's happening in the next few weeks... 6 weeks to go....

Caught up on the last episode of The Virtues yesterday - harrowing but very good - and watched the first of the new series of Killing Eve - as good as it was in the first series. Might watch another episode this afternoon.
Need to sort my nails out and do a face mask so could watch some telly while they're being done. I'm starting a 3 week pre abroad trip countdown tomorrow - need to shift some unwanted wobble prior to having to wear summer clothes again (it's freezing here so definitely not much on show at the moment!). I really do need to look after myself better when I'm working - i must make time to eat properly and get some exercise rather than just shoving whatever is to hand in my gob! I just can't get away with it anymore - the joys of the menopause,,,,,,

Right, better get this dye washed off - at least one part of me will look better then :)

The last half term is definitely not the easiest!! I always breathe a sigh of relief when sports day, trip, assessments and reports are all done.

    Definitely honeysuckle....

Hair done, nails sorted and some lead training attempted. OH brought his pup over for some play time but I don't think he can cope with the boisterousness of them together before they tire themselves out !
Gone now and I've recleaned the downstairs of the house..... It's never ending with two pups and pouring rain.....

Just waiting for tea to cook - cauliflower cheese and a quorn lattice thing - was going to make enchiladas but can't be bothered at this time - but I have done a packed lunch ready for tomorrow.
Telly and an earlyish night - another mad week in store...

Will it ever stop raining!!!!! It's poured down all day and is now starting to flood :(
Another long couple of days at work - felt awful when I got home last night (bad back, raging headache) but feel better today thankfully.
Have taken the pups to a puppy party at the vets this evening for a socialisation session - they were a bit hesitant at first but soon got into it.
A free service but very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it, never mind the dogs!

Just pottering about now - might have a bath this evening and get stuff ready for tomorrow- other than that I have no plans - just an early night and some quiet time.

Had a bath, defuzzed and then did a face scrub and mask and slathered myself in gradual ran moisturiser. Will hopefully look a bit more presentable tomorrow.
Have made a packed lunch, tidied the kitchen, got my clothes ready for tomorrow and sorted the bathroom and bedroom so it's all nice and tidy again. Feel a bit more organised now.
Would like to do a run tomorrow evening after work if it's not monsooning still.
Think I'll try for an earlyish night to attempt to minimise my very attractive dark circles - have a feeling that I'm hormonal and things might happen soon but that's anyone's guess these days....

In a bit of a pondering mood this evening - not sure why.....

It must be the weather, I've been pondering the last couple of days - vaguely unsettled and vaguely on the cusp of something - but I can't pin down what on either front. Not raining up here but not particularly nice either now though at least it's been dry all day so that's something.

Hope you manage to get out for your run, I often feel that I've sorted things out after a run even if I still couldn't articulate what.

I know what you mean Joey - I think it's just switching off and focussing on something else.... But, as OH was late home from work (again) I had two mental puppies that I had no hope of settling to be able to go for a quick run. I seem to be getting the hard work part and he gets a tired, fed woofer to take home.... Hmmmmm....

I did get some exercise playing in the garden with them for 2 hours after work but not the type I wanted to.
    Never mind there's always tomorrow.

Have used up some bits from the freezer and cupboard for tea and cleaned right through downstairs so the house is tidy again.
In the spirit of being organised, lunch for tomorrow is sorted and work clothes are ready and I've done the gradual tan moisturiser and taken make up off and used night cream etc.
It's payday on Friday so just one more day to go, and I resisted the urge to pop out for something nice for tea from the shop and a sneaky bottle of wine. Positively angelic :)

An hour of telly then bed..... Need more beauty sleep.....

Another very busy day but managed to get home fairly early. For once, OH also picked his pup up earlier than normal so it was a calmer end to the working day.
Mini woofer and me went for our first try at a walk - only 10 mins or so but everything is new to him so I didn't want to force the issue. He did pretty well though. Will do another 10 mins when he wakes up from his snooze.

Have made quorn fajitas for tea to use up veg in the fridge and have enough leftover for tea tomorrow so it will be an easy meal after work.
Have also cleaned through downstairs to de-dog it and given the kitchen a good going over after cooking.
No big plans for this evening - got up at 4.45 as I couldn't sleep anymore so will probably have an early night.

Got some lovely cards and little pressies from the kids at school today - it's the last big exam tomorrow and year 11 finally leave - can't say I'm sorry that it's over, it's been bloody hard work for the last month or so....
It's only two weeks until I go abroad with school and even though I hate school trips I'm looking forward to the sun and a week with no hassles in work. Mini woofer will be well looked after by mum but I will miss him very much. It's like he's been here forever already...

It's payday tomorrow -will spend a bit of time doing the budgets and transferring money into savings, paying bills etc.
    Roll on Friday....
