Sorry to hear this, watty. There's an issue about putting the *dog* through it too :( whether to undergo chemo is problematic even for some humans, and a dog doesn't know what's going on. Enjoying the time left is important.

Really sorry to hear about the dog Watty, pets really do become family members, don't they? For what it's worth, I really think you've made the right decision re. chemo. Take care.

Another one supporting your decision :(
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thank you all for your kind words. He really is a family member. Although I've always tried to remember he is a dog, not having children I think he has become somewhat indulged as a family member in that he gets 'days out' and 'taken to see granny' on a regular basis. He is also a regular in the local visit where the "no dogs allowed" signs do not actually apply to him and he is regularly pops into all the local shops for cuddles, treats and a chat!
The news hit me hard and I've felt sick and anxious for much of the week leading me to the MSE discovery that Mr T's camomile tea is identical to the 'brand leader' yet 1/4 of the price.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
