Travelex nightmare!

Hi any advice appreciated,
On Tuesday night at London Heathrow I went to Travelex and
purchase €80 =£70.16
I put my card in the machine, paid and the guy behind the counter said “payment is pending” and would not give me my euros even though
he could see via my banking app that the money has left my account
😡
He told me to call my bank which I did immediately and they cancelled the payment (or so I thought)
Travel have since taken £70.16 again and I have no euros.
I have contacted the bank who told me to contact Travelex and gave me the customer service Numbers.
I called and then emailed a pic showing money leaving my account!! What else can I do?? I can’t afford to lose this money and I don’t seem to be getting anywhere😩
Any advice????
Thanks in advance

Did the travel ex bureau give you a receipt to say the transaction was cancelled?
    Use their complaints procedure.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Why do you say you are not getting anywhere, how are Travelex responding?

If they refuse to refund you (assuming you no longer need the euros), present that response to your bank and request a chargeback.

Refunds take much longer than purchases, around 5 working days.
Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear

The money has probably not actually left your card yet - but will be in pending state.
It means you won't get an actual refund just that your available balance will be back to where you were before the transaction in a few days.
  • Certain banks charge for currency withdrawals, even if you pay in sterling, when using your debit card. Check your bank's position on this. If your bank does charge, withdraw cash first, and pay for your currency using cash.
