What i object to and consider bullying is the time factor, PLUS the fact they have never actually been given BY ME any personal details, or phone number :p
So in all the time you have been their customer you have never phoned them? If you did that is how they got your phone number.

As for personal phone number, they have never been given it and i have ALSO previously asked for it to be removed from their records!
If it is your phone number they are calling, they are under no legal obligation to delete it. They are allowed to retain data if they have a business justification for doing so, in the case of say utility companies holding a phone number they can keep this on the grounds it makes it easier to contact customers who may be having trouble paying their bills.

Hard to be sympathetic when you go out of your way to make it as difficult as possible. You don't want to /won't use a direct debit. I don't either for water. I pay by bank transfer within a week or so of the bill arriving and there is no difficulty, no telephone calls, no reminders etc. Doubtless if I left it a couple of months there would be.
By the way how do the Water Company know your age?

:T AND thats the whole point people on here arent getting as their far to quick to jump the gun, have a pop at people, and NOT understand, or see, that in THIS instance the Water Company were late sending the bill and under THAT circumstance jumped the gun with the phone call, as has happened before!

No im NOT asking for sympathy as if people were NOT so quick to attack posters, they should have read what my initial question was "Anyone else had this occur, and what do you feel about it? " which if they hadnt been so eager, AS USUAL ON HERE, to assume everyone is always at fault, they might have the brains to answer the question posed on the actions of the water company, NOT ME, as I do as you say you do :(

I have NO idea how they got any of my personal information, other than as so many do, by using a company that troll the internet to glean and share personal imformation with trackers  as i have said before no information was EVER given by me, however my Name and address to be able to communicate PROPERLY and PROFESSIONALLY by letter, i would expect!

All the other Utility Companies only use letters, as i have also said, but Southern Water seem to feel the need to PRESSURISE people, irrespective of their poor timing issues, I feel this is bullying tactics that may , if its done to more elderly and infirm people, could cause undue stress to THEM...........THATS THE REAL POINT!

SO.............to any numpties ...........GET OFF MY BACK and GET TO THE REAL POINT, because i have NO QUALMS ABOUT GETTING BANNED FROM THIS SITE! :p

You see I DONT SUFFER FOOLS, and THATS old school principles!

That is factually wrong some energy companies ONLY communicate via email and Web chat they don't send you letters and you can't phone them and they don't phone you.

Let's be clear you said "All the other Utility Companies only use letters", I pointed out you were factually wrong in that statement. If you had said mine only use letters that would have been different.
