"Buildings with the highest customer demand get the lowest installation costs.
They also go Hyperoptic before anyone else."
All perfectly sensible.
So cheapskates, one step backwards.

You need to take phone line with them as well which is £12.50 a month. The £40 set up is only if you put your order in before your building goes live. If you wait until after it's £200
You don't need to take the "phone line" with them, it's completely optional. I've just spoken to CS, since I registered interest a while ago and haven't heard from them since then.
But after a bit googling it seems that they will pull the same stunt like Virgin, making the BB without phone line £10 more expensive than the same product when you take the phone line for £12.50. So in the end you only save £2.50.

This has turned up as a best fibre option
Hyperoptic
20mb unlimited fibre
my 2 questions
Is it worth paying more for 20mb fibre ?
And
Any new news on Hyperoptic ?
I see only 1 thread which talked about drilling holes etc, I would only join if it was like switching as normal0 -
Only you can decide if it is worth it.
How much you paying now and for what?
How much is hyperoptic?
20mb is not particularly quick these days....My postings reflect my lifetime's experience and my opinion. You are quite welcome to respond with your experiences and option, whether similar or different.0 -

20mb is not fast when Virgin (for example) is offering up to 200mb!Is it worth paying more for 20mb fibre ?0 -
Hyperoptic are an 'alt-net', so don't use Openreach's network. If you are on a copper product at the moment, then switching will involve arranging installation of the Hyperoptic service, and separately calling your existing provider to cancel.
Hyperoptic are a 'true' fibre provider, so you will more than likely consistently achieve the 20Mb download that is quoted, whereas other providers are 'up-to'.0 -

Virgin Media don't use copper either, but their speeds are still advertised as "up to" because there are several other reasons why speeds may drop.0 -
