The weekend is here again, sunny and cold here

I lost !!!!!! all this week, and ive been so good :mad: hubby lost another 3 pounds, im jealous, must try even harder!

I suppose i better crack on with house cleaning, will burn a few calories i suppose :rotfl:

couldnt resist, transferred spare spends, tuck shop profits, quidco bits etc, scraped together £100 in total, and bought more p.bonds :beer:

All are accounts are at £0 now until paydays, but it feels so good to add a bit extra to our savings pot :j

Checked banking- no surprises:rotfl:, still £0!

Food budget stuck to this week, im looking forward to next week, and see what savings we can make after pay day, i'm hoping for another £2,500 worth of premium bonds, which will take us to £8100

Its pay day for hubby and i, and we have done well, £2,700 worth of bonds purchased:j, all direct debits gone out, so current accounts empty again, id rather transfer the full £2700 to bonds rather than leave cash spare , it earns us nothing sat in the current account, and it avoids temptation...

We have won £25 on our p.bonds:j, the first of hopefully many for 2016. This is going to be our year, i can feel it !!:)

not a lot to report on the money saving, other than i checked accounts, no surprises, £0! but i prefer this, our spare cash is doing more good in the bonds, potential to win, and no temptation to spend on unnecessary bits and bobs, so that way its easier to stick to our budget

Im sticking to our grocery budget, this week i have £60 worth of vouchers from xmas which i can use at iceland store, so i hope to do the bulk of our shop there, so that will be another saving

Its a rainy day here, so housework for the next couple of hours, then hopefully may hold off while we walk the dog, then snuggle night with scary film few g&ts, treat night too :T

our car insurance is due this month, ive saved £100 by going on a comparison website, that £100 more to save for our move to the countryside fund :beer:

Today is hubby and i payday. We have had an expensive month= car insurance £365, 4 tyre for our car- £320, and we bought an house warming gift of a new sofa for our son, who bought his first home this month, £630.

We have worked hard this monht with overtime, so still managed to save a massive £1700 in premium bonds, and im so proud of our achievements :beer:

Our premium bond balance is now £10,000 :j lets hope for a win on the 1st March

Sadly no win this month on the premium bonds

Its a tight month for us, to make up for last months spends on car insurance, tyres and sons sofa. With son moving out to his own house, i will re-jig the budget taking into account less food and utility bills, and no board money from him.

I have a bit of empty nest syndrome this week i think, feel a bit down

Will try to cheer myself up planning our house move

Just finished housework, wasnt bad, just me and hubby to tidy up after, daughter away in oz for 3 weeks with her BF, lucky !!!!!!

While she is away hubby is having a week off work to decorate all the bedrooms, and tidy up the garden in preparation for estate agent valuation which i plan to make at the end of this month.

We have been in touch with a mortgage broker, and are now awaiting hubbys stat credit report from experian, once we receive this and pass to the broker, we should have an idea what we can borrow for our move , its all very nerve racking/ exciting :j
