Terms and conditions
The promoter of the prize draw is Specsavers Optical Group Limited (‘Specsavers’), whose registered office is at La Villiaze, St Andrews, Guernsey, GY6 8YP. The provider of the prize is Woburn Enterprises Limited. The prize draw is open to all United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland residents, subject to entrants under the age of 18 having the consent of their parent or guardian to enter the prize draw, excluding employees of the Specsavers Group, Specialist Publications UK Ltd, Woburn Enterprises Limited, Bletchley Park Trust Limited or any third-party associates and members of their families, who are not eligible to enter this prize draw. Entries must be made electronically on the above website form only. A maximum of one entry per family is permitted. No purchase is necessary. The prize draw will run from 15th April 2019 (the ‘Opening Date’) and the closing date for entry into the competition is midnight on 31st October 2019 (the ‘Closing Date’). All entries must be received no later than midnight on the Closing Date. Entries submitted after the Closing Date will not be included in the draw. Specsavers accepts no responsibility for entries that are late or for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault. Confirmation of email transmission is not proof of entry. The draw will be made on/shortly after 1st November 2019. A winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received by the Closing Date, using a random-number generator. The winner (or their parent or guardian if winner is under the age of 18) will be contacted as soon as practical after 1st November 2019 via e-mail or telephone and will be given 14 days to respond. If any winner is under the age of 18, Specsavers will contact the winner’s parent/guardian by email or telephone to confirm that they consent to the winner entering the prize draw and agree to accept the prize on the winner’s behalf, subject to these Terms and Conditions. If the response deadline is missed or the winner is found to be in breach of these terms and conditions or the rules of entry for the draw, or, where the winner is under the age of 18, their parent or guardian refuses or fails to agree to accept the prize on the winner’s behalf subject to these Terms and Conditions, the prize may be forfeited, and another winner selected. Specsavers’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Specsavers reserves the right to change, hold void or cancel the prize draw at any time without notice. All entrants give their consent to their names being placed on a list of winners and being made available in accordance with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, subject to entrants under the age of 18 having the consent of their parent or guardian to have their name placed on a list of winners and being made available. The winner’s name can be obtained upon request in writing from: Woburn Safari Park Competition, Specsavers Magazine, PO Box 767, Bristol, BS8 1SB, after 1st November 2019.
The prize consists of: a two-night stay for a family of two adults and two children (aged 12 or under) in a family room at the Woburn Hotel, with two cuddly toys awaiting their arrival, full English breakfast each morning, a three-course dinner each evening at Olivier’s Restaurant and afternoon tea on one day. Also included is one day’s family entry to Woburn Safari Park with two guidebooks included and family entry to Bletchley Park.
The prize is based on two adults and two children, aged 12 or under, sharing a family room, stay valid until 31st May 2020, excluding Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Easter Saturday, Easter Bank Holiday Monday, Sunday Supper Break and special event weekends and subject to availability. Dinner at Olivier’s Restaurant excludes wine.
Return flights (to include 1 item of hold luggage per person) for two children and two adults from Republic of Ireland to the UK are included if the winner is a resident of the Republic of Irelands. Return flights (to include 1 item of hold luggage per person) for two children and two adults from Channel Islands to the UK are included if the winner is a resident of the Channel Islands and return flights for two children and two adults (to include 1 item of hold luggage per person) from the Isle of Man to the UK are included if the winner is a resident of the Isle of Man. Transfers to and from the arrival and departure airports are not included. The prize cannot be exchanged or transferred, and no cash alternative will be offered. The prize is subject to availability and to Woburn Enterprises Limited & Bletchley Park Trust Limited’s own terms and conditions (‘Third Party T&Cs’). Specsavers shall have no liability to the winner or any third party for any inability of the winner to claim the prize of take the full benefit of it as a result of any of the Third Party T&Cs or any other reason.
Spending money and other items or activities not specifically set out above are not included in the prize. All extras not specified in the prize must be paid for by the prize winner. Travel insurance and visas, any necessary vaccinations, valid passports, spending money, departure and arrival taxes, local taxes, hold luggage, excursions, attractions, treatments and car hire and any other personal expenses are the winner’s responsibility unless expressly stated otherwise in these terms and conditions. Specsavers shall not be liable to entrants for: (i) any losses, damages or costs incurred or suffered as a result of the entrants entering the prize-draw promotion; (ii) acceptance or use of any element of the prize won in connection with the promotion; (iii) failure by the connected third parties or Specsavers to act in accordance with any promotion laws, rules and regulations; (iv) and/or failure by the connected third parties or Specsavers to deliver any element of the prize. Each entrant acknowledges that Specsavers has no liability to him/her in accordance with this disclaimer. The winner and their guests may be required to participate in publicity for Specsavers.
This prize draw and these Terms and Conditions are governed by and subject to English Law and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
