Hi lovingthemoney

It sounds as though you've used either our Credit Club or Eligibility tools.

These searches are ‘soft searches’ and are only visible by the yourself, they don't affect your credit score and lenders can't view this.

If you want to leave credit club can you please email creditclub@moneysavingexpert.com and the team can look after this for you.

Alternatively if you're certain you haven't used either, it is worth contacting one of the credit reference agencies to start a 'Victims of Fraud' review. I've included a link below to Experian's who power the data behind our Credit Club and Eligibility tools.

    https://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-experian/credit-education/preventing-fraud/victim-assistance/

    I hope this is helpful.
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

  • Hello,

It's saying that the site's connection isn't secure. Not sure if it's just me but may be a good idea for that to be looked at, seeing as we're logging on with passwords etc..?

    Thanks.

The site connection is secure when you type https:// rather than http:// There are a number of ways for your browser to automatically set http:// to https://

Many websites these days allow us to access both secure https:// and not secure http://

It really is down to us to make this choice and enforce it ourselves.

My choice is to use a browser add-on HTTPS Everywhere.

    hi,
I have been on M.S.E before, and I felt so strongly about a certain point and I looked through all of your posts and couldnt believe that you didnt have a post on Dating Agencies. I have tried sending a message on whats supppose to be a regulative organisation on introductive dating, but had no luck with a response.I've tried a couple. They are probably run by dating agencies, protecting the racket they have going. I am being scammed by a leading dating agency at the moment. I would like to create a post, but do not see how. Possibly need a bit more time to look at the site, it's been a while since I have read into it all.
    Thank you

Pick the relevant forum and the word new thread will be near the top of the page, ok maybe not directly at the top but near enough.

Hi Happy New Year to you all.
Just here to report that pages aren't loading from the links in the monthly e-mail. This problem has been happening for a couple of months. Occasionally the page header appears and a fraction of the page loads, but the rest is blank. I have checked the settings on my device. I would appreciate your help. Many thanks. *** NOT SURE IF I HAVE POSTED THIS IN THE CORRECT PLACE !

Hi I don't know if this is the right place but I have searched for Newsletter help and can't find it.

My newsletters stopped coming last autumn, I only just noticed.(We have a lot on our minds.)

I tried signing up again but of course my email is already on your system so it won't let me.

These have not been appearing in my spam filters. We didn't make any email changes around that time. My partner is still getting his emails!

Now I don't know what to do. Please advise or point me at the right place.

    Thank you

I hope someone can forward this to the relevant section of MSE:

I receive a regular newsletter on tax matters that looks like this:
    emailbulletin@email.accountingweb.co.uk
This included a link to this story:
    https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/tax/hmrc-policy/hmrc-campaigns-where-have-they-gone?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=AWUKPOW200319&utm_content=AWUKPOW200319+CID_aa7fe6216d50a880adc75fe4c6fcb8f8&utm_source=internal_cm&utm_term=HMRC%20campaigns%20Where%20have%20they%20gone

The story about tax clampdowns included an advert, showing a slightly grim looking Martin.

Clicking the picture took the punter to:
    https://ecoenergized.com/
Which appeared to display a page of the Daily Mirror where Martin was explaining how to get in on a crypto currency investment.

    https://ecoenergized.com/

appears to be a site for generating instant "click bait"
