Well done. Is that competition or compensation?

Sorry, it's supposed to say Competition win - I blame being tired for my scribble :rotfl:

You're a better woman than I am if you do:A. I know they usually start very early (I'm usually setting my 'treasures' out about 5.30:eek:) but it's so hot and sunny even mid-morning at the moment. Standing/sitting out there for hours in a sun-baked field without any shade whatsoever is not for me, I'm afraid. I just can't cope with it:o. This wall to wall sunshine is a far cry from usual carboot mornings when I'm anxiously checking the weather forecast for rain or gales:rotfl:

    Good luck:beer:
Same here.............was going to do a car boot with my sister in law this weekend but looking at the weather......it aint happening for me.
Cant bear this heat. Roll on end of August and hopefully the cooler days of September.

I know what you mean and I may well give it a miss for that very reason. I delivered some magazines for my church yesterday late morning and I was so hot afterwards I had to have a shower. It took less than an hour and I was getting slower and slower as the time went on :rotfl:

I don!!!8217;t know if any of you remember (especially Kantankerus Mare but I finally got myself organised with a forgotten pension, I!!!8217;ve let them know I want a £4,800 tax free lump sum and around £750 a year.

As I paid in for under a year, back in 1996, I think this is very lucky, and if they!!!8217;d have offered me my money back, back then, I!!!8217;d probably have said yes to accepting it.

Wow Mrs C thats brilliant. Its thanks to you that I looked into my old BT pension which gave me similar results. Used my lump sum to pay off a credit card and the rest went straight off the mortgage enabling me to drop a day at work. Still loving my 3 day week though staff are disappearing and not being replaced so STILL feel like I should do more than I want to. What is it with catering? I know its cheap labour but the boss just wants to get young girls in. They dont stick around long term, some just want easy shifts so they can still have their social lives. Dont get me wrong.......we have some great young staff but give me someone whos on my wave length please!!

Sorry......lol rant over. Maybe its time for me to be looking at doing something else. Shame as I actually like what I do.

Found a £2 win scratchcard I still have to cash in, and made another eBay sale. Will have to check fees but I think I am sitting at around £110, so 8 days ahead.

Well done to all of you on money made today. As the topic of lost pensions has been raised that can be the money making method of the day.

Here is the link to the government pension tracing service

    https://www.findpensioncontacts.service.gov.uk

Hopefully some of you may have success like MrsCautious and Kantankrus Mare. I was on the site myself yesterday as I found some old paperwork of my brothers going back to 1989. Not sure I will get anywhere but always worth a try

  • £10 Club*ard vouchers from Mr T - i'm going to use them for groceries and pay £10 off a card :D

That's £22.98 of my £31 target which has more or less fallen into my lap, but I'm going to have to get more creative to keep it up (I've got £7.37 on the way from Zapper and about £19 worth of goods being checked at Ziffit, or the other way round, then that's the easy pickings over and up to me to find other ways of raising a bit extra!)

I've had £15 from a bit of extra money my DS has paid while he's staying with me for the summer.

It'll be a weekly amount but I'm counting it cause it's extra money and will stop once he goes back to Uni in 5 weeks.

    So I'm at £15/£310.

I've got a superannuation fund I paid into for a year in Australia back in the 90's. I wonder if I can get anything from that? Might be worth a look.

Finally got round to cancelling some direct debits so that's £10.76 saved this month. The were all for little amounts so I kept saying I'd do it later because it wasn't like it was that much which is we all know is a load of old codswallop!
