    Saw the one of the cows who live opposite itching itself on one of the guy wires on the electricity pole in its field. You know - the wires which keep the pole upright.

    I don't think those were engineered to take those kinds of forces from that direction. The actual electric wires themselves at the top of the pole were bouncing up and down and sending "waves" all the way down the bank.

    It would make an interesting "power outage" report...

    I'm sad to say I think I misread the use of the word cow at the start of that post!
