I echo the others - please do keep running the thread! I haven't been around the boards much of late but check in now and again to confirm potting. The thread does really get me back on track and I do enjoy reading peoples' updates.

I spotted £4 earlier this week and theres £1 in my pocket heading for my pot the next time I'm upstairs.

Looking forward to opening day! I dont think I'll have a fortune in there, but excited to know how much I've managed to pot. Already looking forward to the next challenge.

Local shop mentioned they had no change so traded some of mine from the pot in.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

Hi all, hope everyone's well and surviving the school holidays if you've got children school age.
DD1 got the house she was hoping to get and is busy redecorating and choosing new carpets. The lady that had the house before her was very elderly so had only done the minimum for a long time.
Another £50 in my pot, my hubby won on a domino card, (no, I don't know what it is either!) and gave it to me for anything I wanted to buy, I don't need anything at the moment (I'm only buying clothes when the ones I'm wearing look waay too big)

Please don't give up Sue-UU, I know there are plenty of potters lurking out there..... just look at all the newbies we've had this year!

Had a surprise visit from DD and DSIL plus their little puppies over the weekend and we met up with my sister and her daughter plus husbands and my baby great-nephew. It was fabulous! I do enjoy a family get-together especially when they are impromptu.

Only £1.19 for the pot today, but every little helps. Have a lovely week Potters. :)

I’m here too!!! All my change seems to be going on ice creams, for him not me. Went to Countryfile Live on Friday, really good but spent more than Carfest! Was on “investment” stuff though; National Trust membership, childs RSPB membership and Countryfile magazine subscription for me. Only 2 and a half weeks til they go back, 3 or 4 more local days out planned and only school shoes to buy. Got a visitor staying later in the week who will have my boy for a day and then we will all go out for another, hoping for dry weather (Friday was very soggy). I’ve just potted £3.50 with maybe some more change after our seaside trip this Friday :D PS we now have two frogs in our pond :T

Hello again Potters! It's good to hear from so many of you and know you still want the thread to continue. I hope you understand me asking, but this year I've been coming on to see a total of 2 maybe 3, and sometimes no members!! :(

Yes, there are the more regular diehard members and it's been a joy seeing them. :D
I know all too well from my own health problems that we all have illnesses, problems, jobs, families and so forth. I quite understand that, but once a week, fortnight or month if possible would be brilliant.

I'm happy to keep SPC running for us all, but please, could you do your best to make it a little more often? The more visits you make, the closer the thread is to the top for potential members to see, join and save just as you all do!
Very many thanks to you all, your a brilliant lot. :grinheart

For those who are not well or who are low in spirits, take great care of yourselves. Get well soon and {{{{hugs}}}} from all the SPC family. :grinheart

I do hope your DH is slowly recovering Robin. Please give him, you too our best wishes. :D

Enjoy your week off Melody and don't forget to save! ;)

Good to see you, swimminginaseaofdebt, and know the thread's such a help to you. Keep saving and thank you. :D

Excellent potting 3forholidays!!! :j I'm so pleased you remembered to pop your money saved on your siggy. I hope you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves.

Good to see you, 32b3, and know we're a tradition indeed! See you soon my friend.

It's good to hear how you feel, Homegrown, and whether you end up with a fortune or not, at least it's safe in your pot rather than having been spent!! ;)

It's great that you could help out in such a way, datlex, well done.

Oooh lovely Lucy!! :dance:How wonderful of your DH. I haven't a clue either. I'm delighted your DD is happily in her house and enjoying titivating (I've never written that word before so haven't a clue if it's correct) it. Good luck to her and I hope her house will soon feel like a home. Wise thoughts about the clothing! ;)

Hi siju! So good to see you. I'm so glad you really enjoyed seeing the family, it gives us a huge lift! :grinheartThe saving, whatever it is, is always a bonus, so keep it up!

So, you mean you never have an ice-cream then, Hetty???! Wise investments at Countryfile and an ideal drawing into Wildlife for your little lad, well done! Hubby and I have always loved birds, all wildlife too, so let's hope your little treasure does too as all our nature needs a lot of help right now! Well done with the frogs, keep some wet vegetation around it and they'll love you! BTW. The weather's set to be fine towards the weekend, enjoy yourselves. :D:D

Have a really lovely week folks. :j and...
    ...don't forget those pots!! ;)

    Sue

NB folks: Opening date for SPC 12 will be 31st October 2019

Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late, so please just ask, you'll be made very welcome!

Just been counting up my pot so far £257 in it at present. Wondering whether I'll be able to save enough for a week's pay (£331) might be a bit tight.

I don't think I'm going to save as much in my pot this year..... earlier in the year, the small supermarket near my work closed and has been knocked down. It's such a shame and I really miss it as I would call in several times a week to pick up bits and pieces, always paying in cash and potting the change. There is another supermarket nearby but it's on a really busy roundabout and it's really difficult to pull out of and I tend to avoid it. I did venture in this morning though out of desperation and now I have £9.40 to pop in the pot tonight. Maybe I just have to be a bit braver! :)
