    Hi all
I have been and done all assessments and have been successful. Was invited back to do the online assessment at PFL last Friday and was informed on Monday that I had got the job.

The drugs test is held at the interview and not the manual assessments. The testers actually come into the toilet area and wait outside the loo. There is a thermometer on the sample bottle, so they know its a fresh sample. The test is iNstant. You sign a form if its all clear.

    I wish everyone good luck

    Hi There,

My Husband applied as you did through a recommendation, he had his manual assessment last Tuesday 24/04/12 and still hasn't heard anything, so not sure if he's been successful or not.

He was told when he was there by a member of staff that applicants have been paying a bloke 10 in Liverpool to complete the initial online assessments for them!!! So the reason they're asking everyone to re-do them again in a controlled environment is to sift out the cheats.
How did you get on? Hope you were successful mate.

    Final Interview
I have been invited to final interview at JLR next week for skilled trades position (electrician). I did my tests 2 weeks ago. Has anyone else already been through the final interview and got any information on the type of questions being asked for the technical and behavioural interview?
    Thanks in advance

Got my phonecall today and now have a start date. Had my retest last Thursday 3/5/12 so took a little longer than they advised to hear back from that
  • ZepMisty2012
As stated before had my manual assessment on 20/4/12, and decided to give them a call today (20 days later) to see if they had any news, as am going away on Monday and so would be away when the 28 day period would expire. The girl I spoke to was lovely, but regretted to inform me that all positions have been filled in regards to potential interviews and placements, so basically if you haven't heard by now its a NO :s

I don't understand how to be honest, my online test was one of the best they had according to the chap I spoke too, and my manual assessments went well to my knowledge :s evidently previous experiences and degrees count for nothing anymore, 1 word..... Gutted

    Still waiting...
    Hi Guys,

I had my interview on 8th May, then got a call back 10th to re-do my online tests in a controlled environment, felt they went much better than Id previously done if i'm honest. I was told by the guy at PFL building doing the re-tests that I'd hear in a week... still not heard.

Called the newcastle manpower place and they gave me a number to call manpower jaguar directly... so I'll be doing this on monday morning!

I'd just like a little more info on how long this is meant to take, not good for the nerves!

Was anybody else told to do this?

    Cheers

Some places take a hair sample which enables them to detect drug use for many months after the event!
