Music magpie 10th Nov 19 at 5:44 PM
I bought a phone on Sunday lst week. I got the phone delivered on Tuesday when I made a call couldn't hear other person.. I contacted music magpie and was told to return the phone I did this on Wednesday morning they received it on Friday. I contacted them to say they have the phone and could I have my replacement or money back.. Apparently I have to wait 7/10 days for inspection of phone, so that means I will be 2 weeks without the device and without the money I paid.. I now am worried they will try something to avoid sorting this out.. What Is the best thing to do. I have emailed and live chat.

The best thing to do is surely wait for the 7/10 days, before jumping to conclusions that they will "try something". Doesn't seem like an extraordinarily long time for such issue, especially with a 2nd hand device.

2 weeks isn't a long time are u serious?? I bought the phone witch was ment to go through all the checks before sending it out. I thought making calls would be the first thing they check..I didn't even have to wait 2 weeks to order from China.

Ok 7-10 days is a massively long time.

The reality is it makes no difference.

Theyve told you to wait 7/10 days whilst they investigate. Your options are to wait 7-10 days and complain about it or wait 7-10 days and not complain about it. Either way youll be waiting until theyve done their investigations.

Theyre allowed to do them. No court would consider what they are doing as unreasonable. Things go wrong with products which is why companies are given the opportunity to investigate and repair.

Technically you couldve just rejected the phone. Although i suspect that would still require an investigation as to why the phone wasnt working properly as the fault could lie with you (from their perspective) and they would need to determine that before allowing a refund.
    Don't be angry!

I'm saying I bought the phone 9 days ago, had it for about 12 hours 8 of them sleeping. And then another 7/10 days for them to fix the problem.
