Care annuities 9th Nov 19 at 12:38 PM
Is it possible to buy a care annuity if the need for care is already there? Or is it like an insurance policy where you dont know if you will need care, but want to take out a policy in case you ever need care.

Yes. You can buy an annuity if the need is already there.

You can't go direct to the provider - you will need to go through an adviser.

https://adviserbook.co.uk/ You would tick "long term care" and "confirmed independent"

    Many thanks for this.
I presume you are also able to buy a product in case you need to go into care. ie an insurance policy whose premium depends on age and health and will pay if care is needed?
