Happy with the beetroot - haven't eaten it for ages and plan to start again. Is it fresh or vacuum packed?

Asparagus used to be a "May" food. Surely a fortnight of fine weather didn't create such a glut?

It will be vacuum packed don`t recall ever seeing any fresh in Aldi, the asparagus will be imported.
Think the only thing for me will be A bag of kale, can`t stand squeaky beans, which they will be french beans, mushrooms not that good a price, possibly a cabbage, still got beetroot in the freezer from last super 6 and I don`t like asparagus.
Do I need it or just want it.

At first I thought it was a bit of a con putting the asparagus in the Super 6 but it is better value than the other supermarkets where it's between £5 and £7 per kg.

The beetroot seems to have disappeared off the shelves. Is it really that good...?

It's a good offer and it's long life because it's vacuum packed. :)

Out of green beans in my Aldi today so they'd substituted them with sugar snaps. Delighted as I find green beans tasteless unless I add butter, garlic or bacon (or all 3:D). Then it rather defeats the object of having a healthy vegetable.

This has been one of the better Super6 offerings for me. I cant recall when I last bought all 6.
