New iPhones

What are your opinions on new iPhones?
Do they offer anything new or is it wiser just to buy older models that are dropping in price a bit now?

  • I think they are overpriced as hell. Just buy iphone 7 or 8 or go for oneplus 6 which seems similar to iphone X with half the price tag.

Opinion no longer far in advance of others.
Still vastly overpriced for what you get .
Some may be willing to pay for bling and bragging rights .

What are you willing to spend and what features do you like in a smartphone and what do you currently have?

Unless you absolutely have to have the latest and greatest then wait a month for the prices of the older ones to drop more. I'm an Android user myself but if you prefer iPhones then the cost of the newest ones is beyond ridiculous.
  • I wouldn’t bother with anything older than 6s. Best value seems to be the SE. If you’ve got more money then the iPhone 7 is as good an iPhone as you will ever need for £450 and should get software updates for at least 4 more years.
  • I heard it doesn't support HD videos or youtube videos is that right?

I'd be astounded if that's true.
  • My first thought was "How Much?"
    Almost fifteen hundred quid!
I would need to be using my phone one hell of a lot more than I do to pay anywhere near that for any phone.
Will it take me to work or cook my dinner?

Well yes, it can order you a cab and a takeaway.
    But any smart phone can.
