2 of our cats went out in the garden after supper for a bit of a meander - I think they were just relieved that it wasn't raining, snowing, hailing ...and they were enjoying the light night.
Then we noticed by the shed the fox had arrived. He sat for ages sniffing and tasting the air and waiting for the cats to move on. The cats and the fox were aware of each other but neither were bothered. Then as the cats were not going in the fox just ambled off back into the field ...

i`m not sure because i thought we had discussed that with the ap vouchers they wouldnt issue a credit note with those and the wording is v,similar on these.if i hadnt used the ap vouchers to buy sheets i would have stocked up on bedding,it may have to be that again.:o

My Mum is always buying things and losing the receipt. ;) But perhaps I might email HQ and ask what is their policy. Thank you for the warning! Otherwise it will just have to be meat for the freezer. I am running out of Bolognese sauce anyway!

Used to be able to, but not since we had to register APG's to our 'in-store' accounts.
Till adjusts your APG value to only include permitted purchase items.
So if you had groceries to value of £5 and put in a GC for £10. Then presented APG's to value of £15. The till adjusts the value of the APG to £5 - so you still have to find payment for the £10 (and lose £10 value on your APG's so don't risk it!)

    fake news :D
i regularly put apgs onto gift cards

you can only put any value of a multi saving as the till sees the full price
    eg
    todays soup glitch
    10 x heinz soup tins

    till sees 10 x 95p = £9.50
actual in store after multi = £6

this means you can put up to £3.50 on to a gift card as thats the difference in price after multi.
chrisv also does this. i do it on self service most of the time.

That's not how I interpreted the question though.
Never realised you could make use of the FULL PRICE multibuy to add to a gift card though. Not sure my brain could cope with that at the till.....but I might give it a go if I have a multibuy with a decent value to try it on

Thank you both, very much. You're quite right, Simone, I didn't ask that question but simply because I didn't realise the option was there. I shall now go and look for multi-buys. Didn't partake of the soup as I still have loads from the last time soup was cheap.

Well done, and that's the way to go, stuff you need/will use.

I had a :money: lightbulb moment
when I realised that I didn't have to buy cheap sweets as fillers, but buy stuff I would use, like 1 onion, 1 carrot!

PS , I've looked and looked, but never found a Happy Down yet!

And tins of garden peas (go in casseroles but I use frozen peas for a veg accompaniment) and baked beans and malt vinegar (use as fabric conditioner for towels) and cheap sparkling water and milk and smart price spaghetti. When I have too much of it, I take it to the food bank so though it costs me a bit more, it's doing some good.
