'40th' Birthday Party ideas

We are going to host a late 40th birthday party, but are wanting some advice on what to do in terms of invitations?
We are wanting around 150 people to attend, but these days we are unsure what to do, as around half of the guests are on Facebook and the other half aren't.
Would you send invitations to everybody, or with it being a more relaxed birthday party would you just invite people via facebook who have it?

I'd do a combo. I invited everyone to my daughter's christening via Facebook, but send a few people not online a paper invite. Mind you it was much small numbers - about 30 people.0

We've bought invites anyways, but will have to run around and deliver them all.
So everyone will be getting an invite to stop the confusion :rotfl:0
