So going to sit here and wander around the internet, whilst feeling sorry for my mouth for the next hour or so, well the dentist did say take it easy for the 2 to 3 hours........so that is my excuse.

MrsMP looks a lovely day, I hope you have all recovered, and good luck to your DD and Son in law.

I have found a wonderful house just where I want to move to, but it is way way out side my price range.................:) there always has to be a down side.

I've just stuck a wash on, and that's it. I need to dot2dot this afternoon, I could do with a big tub for all the tat that needs rehoming. Didn't really get what I wanted in Ik3a. But had free coffee so not entirely wasted morning ;)

Kids needed more stuff, really must stop spending now. But we have pe bottoms, trainers, slippers, gloves, some lovely fleecy lined leggings for DD for colder nights watching football and she has a new school coat. I've also paid DS football subs for the year - including his training money (sounds like a lot, but it's not, lol, thank heaven for volunteers!). So that's it, my bank account is haemorrhaging money and needs some rest!

Right, pick a room, they're all as bad a each other!

  • Afternoon all

Massive hugs and coping vibes for natty and Dave.

Been round mils to do her cleaning this morning so need to play catch up here now, I did manage to get the embroidery a friend wanted for her DDs wedding done over the weekend and now just have a pair of trousers neighbour's sons friend split but he hadn't got anyone to sew them and I felt sorry for him.

Thank you all for the lovely comments about the wedding photos.

Dd3 just messaged me from the airport she looks the most innocent person I know and yes you've guessed it her new DH got through fine, she got flagged at the body scanners, so had to be swabbed for explosives then had ALL her luggage gone through as the suitcase seemed to set something off at the scanners as well. She took it all in good spirits and said she's glad they are checking everything so throughly. At least they a board now.

I'm going to get the sewing machine n going to have a cuppa and slice of wedding cake before I make a start on the lists.

Need to ring and book a meal later.

Hugs very good wishes and posi vibes to you all. X

    (((hugs))) to Natty

I've had a morning at the paid stuff and not done much since I got home - except apply for a job and email a couple of friends about my awful morning :( It's so tiring being miserable at work.

Heyho. I'll shift my arris and at least get the dailies done.

Natty Wolfy strength vibes comin' atcha, mate.

Not sure what this week will bring Flying wise; bit of a change to plans one way and another. I was due to have Tuesday to Thursday dogless; however, another Carer has been taken to hospital, which has left a dog with no "hotel" to go to, from yesterday to Thursday.

So Carer R and myself will be looking after her; R has a dog already booked in on Tuesday, so she needs Daisy to leave hers today; Mia has literally five minutes ago been collected; so R has had Daisy the Welsh Corgi from yesterday, and will be bringing her to me for the rest of her holiday at about 18:00 today.

I haven't met Daisy, and only have the bare bones of any information about her (R will fill me in on her daily routine) so it's going to be interesting. I do know she's 13 years old, so won't be wanting 15-mile walkies, so that's something! :o

Other news is that Mr LW has been back to the GP; he's been given Omeprazole to take for a month and then he has to go back; if still no improvement he'll likely be referred to a chest specialist - no idea how long that will take to happen, should it prove necessary. :( I'm beginning to wonder if it's actually a bad idea to love someone - you worry so much when they're not well.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

The same reasoning would mean that nobody ever had pets. And that would be a sad and lonely life.

Himself and his general twattery significantly improves my life. He gives me something to moan about, for a start. :)

Repair man has been, said we need a new tap and promptly disappeared.

Different consultant has now said I do have arthritis, unlike the last one, but it's probably Psoriatic Arthritis, which is why I don't fit the full criteria for it, I'm going back onto low dose chemo injections to try and knock it on its head again and whilst we're about it, one marker that is high when there is a really poor prognosis is non existent in me, I've completely turned around my rockbottom vitamin D levels, she likes that I'm incredibly cynical about 'natural cures' and generalised woo-woo, my bloods that indicated malnutrition when Himself first moved in and we were desperately broke are all excellent and there's no reason why this can't be shoved firmly into remission again.

I have a scan on the lump/swollen lymph node in my neck on Friday and then all I have to do is find a dentist prepared to treat me on the NHS for my dodgy gums and teeth (I'm wondering whether the two are connected, particularly as the gum thing is also more likely with autoimmune issues and the medications given for it) and maybe I won't feel quite so horrendous all the time, particularly in the mornings and end of the day.

The kitchen actually looks potentially usable, too. As I came back past the middle class emporium of food and flowers on the way from the train, I have some reduced to clear goats' cheese, reduced figs and some pea shoots in a bag. Going to grill said figs and cheese with a drizzle of dressing made with oil, balsamic, honey and rosemary, slap them on a plate and Himself can be reminded what nice food tastes like.

I expect he'll go out for chips from the Chinese later, but it's a start. He's already said he's never had figs before, so doesn't know whether he likes them or not.

My boiler has died; it needs a new PCB but given it must be 25+ years old, is officially 'obsolete' I think it's time to bite the bullet and get a new one - and at least I can use the DW and WM in the meantime.
    Poppy is now spayed..

I have been to York. it was supposed to rain all day. It didn't.
I have had a lovely day

Nothing apart from the dailies done here. And even declaring that today is pushing it. I am planning to resurrect the knitting this evening, as everyone else in the house seems to be doing their own thang.

The NHS oncology consultants and teams that I have come into contact with are absolutely the best. We live with it every day in this house, and my DD is the most amazing person that I know. We don't talk about it to every tom, £&@k and harry, but I know you ladies will understand. Group flylady hug :grouphug: and as others have said £&c£ cancer. X

Glad you had a lovely day in York, Valli, and bummer about the boiler. Bite the bullet time I know, but *sheesh* it's enough to make your eyes water.

(((Hugs))) Fayolle. That's a tough one.

Had a lovely lunch with Ionafan and her DH and thank you so much for the beautiful anniversary gift. We got home to find a plant trough had leapt off a windowsill and crash landed on the bench below it, shedding the trough itself and leaving the plants and earth upside down. OH is knitting it back together and turning it round so the weight is on the window side. That should sort it.

I have to spring clean the sitting room by 6.00 am Saturday morning and all I've managed so far is the window. I'm planning on doing a dot2dot thing to get it dealt with in bitesized chunks but I now have a cancerous cat on my lap, so no-one's going anywhere for as long as he wants to sit there.
    Better is good enough.
  • Himself hovered in the kitchen, looking rather unsure about the whole fig-goats' cheese operation. Mind you, I did confuse him by asking him to run a metal spoon under the hot tap before dipping it into the honey 'but...it's clean already?'. One of those things I guess you don't know unless you've seen it done before.

Once he'd done picking at the finished meal gingerly, he ate the lot. Maybe I should make an apron saying 'I'm not going to poison you'?

Anyhow, he's cleaned up the non existent mess I made when cooking and disappeared off upstairs to do some editing. I'm enjoying the new Freesat box not working since a massive cloudburst at about 4.50pm. It's dark, peaceful, I'm surrounded by sleeping cats and I'm feeling all calm and peaceful for a change.
