in Credit cards
Today I decided to clear the balance on my Tesco credit card. I owed around £2100, so I paid £1000 by debit card and then changed the direct debit to take the full balance. Statement was produced on the 4th of this month and the dd is due to go out on the 26th.
Now the bit I think I've messed up. Will the last statement balance of £2100 be taken on 26th, putting me £1000 in credit, or will they only take £1100 because I made the payment?
While I'm here I might as well ask: Will they get the hump if I go £1000 into credit?

I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

They won't get the hump but they will/should refund the £1000
Not too late to tele them and sort it out.0 -

I think you've worried about nothing, I very much doubt if the DD has been generated 16 days before the date it's due to be taken, and if you had left it in place it would have asked for the full balance at the time it is generated, which would have been the £1100.0
