Thoughts on this quote?
We are a 3 bed semi and our bathroom window is broken. We could just replace it like for like but as all the windows are old and ideally need replacing we thought we might as well get them all done. We’ve got 7 windows altogether but 3 of them are huge so may count as 2 windows so make that 10. Plus front door and internal porch. The windows are going to white upvc and the quote is for a composite front door.
Personally I think it’s a bit excessive? We are in the North East of England
Quotation
* To remove and dispose of all existing brown PVCu windows and door sets and replace with white 70mm A Rated windows and 2 door entrances (as per your illustrations) would be for the total sum of £6032.00 plus VAT@20%
* To replace all existing white guttering and downpipes and replace with new white square guttering using all necessary safety access equipment would be for the total sum of £539.50plus VAT@20%
* To replace all defective temporary flash-band weathering flashing and replace with new code 4 lead to the rear elevation would be for the total sum of £650.00 plus VAT@20%

We had 10 windows of varying sizes replaced 18 months ago by a local company in Essex and paid £3,650 I think, very impressed.
We also paid £800 for a new composite front door fitted from a different local company, again very impressed.0
