Ignored PCN for 3 months, should I write to them?

*Ive had to add a space after http: in all of my links to be able to post this*
Ive read the newbies thread as well as countless other posts and im still unsure of what to do.
I visited a friend who has a residential car park which operates a permit system. I arrived on a Friday evening in February and obtained a permit from security who informed me it will be fine for the whole weekend. It was too dark for me to read any signs or the permit I was given.
On Sunday morning I had a ticket on my windscreen, and I noticed that the permit I was given said it was valid for the Friday and Saturday only, but also said that its only valid on date of issue. See here. http: //tinypic.com/r/2nhdpnt/9
The ticket said to go online to myparkingcharge and pay the fine.
I spoke to the security and they said to ignore it as they know loads of people that get them.
As I am a student my car is registered at my parents address, so its been 3 months and I have only just opened all the letters they sent me.
The letters were all sent within the right time frames, but im unsure if I should write to them and explain what happened?
I have uploaded the first letter and the two most recent.
1. http: //tinypic.com/r/24bvhxi/9
2. http: //tinypic.com/r/2vl039w/9
3. http: //tinypic.com/r/25fhbwy/9
Im really unsure of what im supposed to do, some websites say that I could ignore or appeal (think im too late for this but I could still write to them)?
I really cant afford to pay it but also dont want the stress of court (if it comes to it), alongside uni.
Apologies if this info has been posted elsewhere, I have read so many threads its all just a big mess in my head now.

explaining what happened to the PPC wont help you at all, not even a little bit , its far too late for any appeal, and even if it wasnt they would refuse the appeal anyway (they always refuse appeals, regardless)
complaining to the landowner or M.A. may help, especially if they cancel the charges with the PPC
otherwise its carry on ignoring until the inevitable happens , a court claim within 6 years
what you want is irrelevant, you are not in control UNLESS YOU PAY UP IN FULL
its pay up , IN FULL, or fightback at the correct time, when the court papers arrive
your choice
meanwhile , the ONLY thread you need to read is the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread, that is it , no other threads will help you in this IGNORE stage0 -

You need to read the thread by this poster and get ready for court:

The only way to overturn this before fighting it in court (and I DO NOT include 'paying up' as an option!) is by landowner complaint. And I mean really assertive complaint, supported by the resident.I visited a friend who has a residential car park which operates a permit system.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you both,
I will try and get in touch with the landowner and see if I can get things cancelled that way.0 -

I have now received a Letter Before Claim. I have read the guidance thread about it which mentions the Practice Directive.
This isnt mentioned in my letter. See below.

I know that I must write back to acknowledge the letter, but I'm unsure if the letter they have sent is legally correct and if I need to ask them to amend it.
Here is the thread I got the information from.

You need to think again.
The information it that Lazy Daisy thread is very old... too old.
This earlier statement by Redx should help you enormously:the ONLY thread you need to read is the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread0 -

This earlier statement by Redx should help you enormously:
The Newbies thread refers to the Lazy Daisy thread in terms of how to respond to the LBA/LBC.
I'm now extremely confused as to what I should be replying with.
Do I just send a letter saying I acknowledge the LBC? As well as a SAR?0 -
The Newbies thread refers to the Lazy Daisy thread in terms of how to respond to the LBA/LBC.
Here is a short extract from post #2 of the NEWBIES thread:As well as the SAR to the parking firm's Data Protection Officer (DPO), also write a letter - by email to Gladstones or BW Legal or directly to whoever the PPC is, if they are not using a solicitor. Your letter can state that you have sent their client a SAR and so you require a restriction of data processing and the case should be put 'on hold'. Confirm your correct 'address for service' (especially if you've moved and they've traced you & might revert back to an old address).
This is an EASY formal letter to write - it will not stop most claims but it looks better to respond. Gladstones & BW Legal will refuse. Please don't post about that...all as expected.0 -

Ah, I see it now.LBCCC/LBC/LBA = Letter Before County Court Claim/Letter Before Claim/Letter Before Action. DO NOT IGNORE IT. How to respond.
That's in post #5 of the NEWBIES thread. That is wrong and I am sure that Coupon-mad will correct it now you have pointed it out.
Thanks for doing that.
You really should be reading post #2 of that thread for the detail on how the respond to a Letter of Claim where you will find the extract I quoted earlier.0 -
