Managed to grow spring onions from Seeds

Well after trying for a couple of year to grow spring onions I have managed to grow seedlings and planted them in a raised bed, so far they are settling in well. Tried various soil compost combos, sewing direct into the raised beds, square pots, round pots (I know it makes no sense) Finally I started them in the greenhouse in a peat based compost a deep pot only watering from the base and I have spring onion babies.
Still haven't cracked beetroot.
