Muser1, sorry I missed your earlier post. No one ever leaves the challenge, they just pop in and out as it suits them.

Carbootcrazy, I have sold really heavy items on eBay before.

Checked the online edition of Colchester's Daily Gazette and nearly choked when I read the main headline. It said -
'Park and ride. Couple fined for sex in stairwell of multi storey car park'.

Makes a change from money worries.

EF is back up ro within £45 of where it stood prior to my holiday.

Also, added £19 to my 3-6 month salary fund as well )I know, I should have added it to my EF, but I am trying to build up 1 fund for emergencies and another for just in case I find myself out of work.

As thought, I needed to dip into my EF for the bathroom budget & helped my DS out with stuff for his new home after finishing Uni.

Upshot is £600 left in EF.
SO ready for the 1st to go over which will bring it in at £650 aka 65%

Very happy there is over half in there - got to keep on keeping on now to top it back up. ;)

Managed to bust a chunk out of the toilet whilst changing the seat as the old one had broken.

Long story short, hinge bolt was corroded and it an attempt to free it, I tok a chunk out of bowl right where the hinge hole is. To top it all, I also knocked a chunk out of the piece that broke off, so when I managed to araldite it back in place, I had water shooting out of where the small piece would have been.

A qwuik repar patch of plumber's matte and all nice and water tight again.

I can claim from the block insurance, but as the excess is £250 and I can buy and fit a whole new bathroom suite for less than that, I will leave it for a while then do a full bathroom refit.

Luckily it is something I have the skills to do myself.
