I've recently moved in to a very old house, without having any heating fitted.
We've uncovered a few jems though. We have found an original fireplace and a Yorkist Range Oven.
We've have them both checked and cleaned for safety, and we've been able to light them and get some heat in to the house.
However, I've not really been able to find any instructions on the range oven. I'll admit I don't even recall ever seeing one in use. But it's all in tact. I'd love to get the oven side of it hot enough to use, but I've popped an oven thermometer in there and it's only hitting about 50 degrees C.
If any one has ever used one or seen one in use, I'd love to know how to heat it up.

You could try asking this company

Or you might like to try here & follow things along.
My Grandma used to have one of these & she used to slow roast joints & make Yorkshire Puddings in one.
As far as I remember it is all to do with the opening & closing of the various air vents etc to draw the heat from the fire through the oven flues.
