No, you can't call POPLA about a code that's invalid.

What are the middle 4 digits?

    they are 0818

That code is an error by PE - day 81 of 2018 was in March.

So email them (NOT POPLA) and demand a new POPLA code or you will report them to the BPA:

    info@parkingeye.co.uk

Ok, I just had an email from Parking Eye, it reads-

"Thank you for your recent email. We can confirm that this Parking Charge has been cancelled and there is no outstanding payment due on this account."

Thanks so much for all your help moderators!

Yay, we are not moderators, just volunteers, ordinary people.

Do send a SAR* to ParkingEye after 25th May, for all data held and all letters sent and ask them how this error occurred and you want to see the data surrounding the POPLA code error. And you want to know when your data will be deleted.

    We will do that.
You are amazing people! I just can't imaging what time you must put in as responses are so quick and there are so many parking charges people need help with.

I can't believe the audacity of these people as we received a letter from Parking Eye yesterday-

    " Dear Sir/Madam,
We refer to the Parking Charge incurred on 16 February 2018 at 23:28, at Site ( then the address) card park.

We understand that receiving a Parking Charge Notice may be inconvenient, however, issuing Parking Charges for breaches of the parking terms and conditions at this car park is necessary to ensure a better overall parking experience for all users of the facilities.

We can confirm that this Parking Charge has now been cancelled and there is no outstanding payment due.

To avoid potential future inconvenience, we would kindly request you follow the parking terms and conditions displayed on the signage throughout the car park.

    Kind Regards

    Parking Eye Team"
