    ~Make upto 10 a day challenge January 2018~ 31st Dec 17 at 2:53 PM
    Hello and welcome everybody

This is the 125th month of this challenge, which was first started by Batgirl, in September 2007. A link here to the original thread as I am sure some of you are interested to read where it all began.

Thanks to Batgirl for starting it, lynnejk and ALL posters, for helping us to keep the thread going. Thanks to previous challengers who used to run this thread too, Rawdinosaur, Emmaglet, Nat21luv, Monkeynut, Sweetpeas, Purpleroses, JesaRose, MizMir.

I have decided to rename this challenge as reading posts, it seems to put people off thinking they HAVE TO make 10 a day.

    You don't.

The original purpose of this challenge was to help people to try and make an extra 10 a day on top of their normal income to help things along. Ie paying off debt, making savings, paying for holidays, overpaying mortgages etc.

That is exactly what this challenge is about, attempting to make extra income on top of your normal income to help you wherever you need it.

People start the challenge by setting a goal of 1 a day. Then when they find they are smashing this regularly, they up it to 5 a day. Some of us gluttons for punishment go for 10 a day. It really is entirely upto you. We only ask you to post what your goal is to help you keep motivated. Some days you make more and some days you make less, but aim for extra at the end of the month.

The idea is that everyone posts how they are making extra money and these shared ideas help all of us to learn new ways to help cut debt or earn/save money.

    What cannot be added:
    Wages from your main job

    What can be added:
    Overtime
    Income from a second job
    Daily clicks
    Interest
    Vouchers
    Mystery shopping
    And much, much more.

This board moves pretty quickly, so be sure to subscribe and read it regularly.

    Link to previous thread.

So who wants to kick 2018 into a financially working for you year?

Join this challenge and let's make those bank accounts fat, mortgages paid off, holidays paid off, savings account grow fatter, debts paid off and much much more!!!

    Happy New Year, everyone,

Just found January's thread. Thanks as always Aesop and Lynne for running it and everyone else who posts. Let's all have a great year

I'm not committing to a definite target this month Lynne but will try to make what I can with very limited access to technology for the foreseeable future.

All the electricians who have quoted for our rewire say they need rooms clearing so they can take floorboards up. They'll also need to get into the loft too. We're hoping to have some structural work done at the same time so need the tradesmen to have access to everywhere. How we'll manage that I can't imagine .You have no idea of the amount of stuff OH has hoarded in the spare bedrooms and loft. There's so much it's impossible to squeeze right in to 2 rooms. It's not a case of moving things from one room to another, we'll have to find somewhere off the premises if we need to keep it. The garage is so full there isn't much room for much of it in there. I don't want you to get the wrong idea, our house isn't like on those hoarder progs on TV where people have rooms stacked with all sorts of disgusting rotting stuff, unwashed food containers etc. His stuff is largely boxed/bagged and definitely clean and, according to him, needed. I've also a lot of my own stuff so we've our work cut out this next few weeks to clear it all out. Has certainly given us the kick up the backside that we needed

Needless to say I'll be getting rid of as much as possible for as much profit as possible but until the outdoor car boot season starts I'm a bit scuppered. At least I've been steadily disposing of my own stuff this past year either by selling or to charity. Still have a long way to go though.

Right, enough rabbiting, back to the loft. I may be gone some time

I'm in again, thank you Aesop and Lynne.

I do this more for ideas and a way of keeping track of the pennies that do come in, but a small target would be 2 a day.

CBC.......sounds like you are going to have a turbulent beginning to 2018

I wish you good luck and hopefully not too much stress with all your clearing and moving about of stuff.

A very small start for me with a few tiny interest payments on a couple of accounts.

Happy New Year all - I'm back in for January, and after December's success, I'l be aiming for 775 or 25 a day. A bit of an ambitious target, but given my start (to follow), I'm hoping it'll be achievable.

We've been looking at a holiday abroad for the summer, something we've not done for over 5 years now since our little kiddies came along, so there's another 'pot' to be adding to, and a bit of motivation to keep me going.

Had some serious luck today, and declaring a total of 128.31. 0.10 from Citizen Me, and the rest from matched betting. A good start to the year.

I don't do resolutions usually, because I'm often very terrible at sticking to them. One thing I have managed to do consistently over the past 5 months is be part of this community here, so I guess this year I shall make exception, and my 2018 resolution will be to continue posting here and going for these daily targets.

Good luck to you all - but more importantly, have a happy and healthy 2018.

I'm in again and, as somebody is signed off sick at work and I have offered to do extra hours, I'm going to go for an ambitious 20 a day.

I will also include profits from my sideline but I will add these on the last day of the month.
