Hey guys, could someone help with a radio code I need after the battery was disconnected.
I have a Renault Megane 2004 with the following info (not sure which is required for producing the code).
Model:22DC277/62
Security: T124
Prod Number: FD0504150481564

Just for a laugh I also went to a Ford garage (one that I have long stopped using for many reasons) they quoted me not only £30 (inc VAT) but they said the car would have to come in as they have to take the stereo out to get the serial number. (Not true!) I said I have already done that but they then said that stereos sometimes have a 30 minute timer (not heard of this) and that it takes time to get the code from head office. (hard to believe they don't have a code generator in the office). Essentially no matter what I said they came back with a crazy answer.
A more plausible answer would have been we check the car and make sure the stereo isn't stolen. I would then understand but these other answers sounded like they would look for other opportunities to find faults with the car to sell me more services.0 -

just found this gem of a post. My wife is heading up to Alton Towers tomorrow, and since having my car battery replaced I have been without a radio/satnav (12 months now.....)
