Hi everyone just thought i'd give a quick update currently i have not put any money into the fund however i do plan to do so at the end of the month so if it seems like i update very sporadically it is because of the above reason, i do plan to move approximately £300 at the end of the month but i will give an update then

    Hi Random Man
It doesn't matter when you do it, as long as you keep plugging away. :T

    Happy new year all!

    #89 I’ve now got £2034.05/£5000

This is mainly because I’ve paused on my debt repayments as I’m looking to move jobs and would like to have my emergency fully funded or close enough.

    Well done!
What sort of work are you in? Are you looking for a career change?
Threat of redundancy is what brought me here really :money:

    Evening all.
£59.01 into Mums Fund today. £50 is my weekly grocery budget, however it's bf's month to buy the shopping. When it's my month off my budget always seems to get eaten up elsewhere, so I've taken it straight out. £9.01 is my extra pay from Xmas week. Doesn't seem a lot, but I was able to do half shifts due to the double pay, so any extra is good :D

I've also sold some comics on ebay, but going to wait & see what fees ebay takes before counting the cash.

Posted my ebay parcel today. Didn't realise ebay now take fees out straight away from the payment, which makes things a whole lot easier.
After fees and posting I was left with £14.64, so added that to Mums fund.

Sorry I haven’t been checking this site for a little while. I’m a research analyst. I’ve been with my current employer for few years now so feel it’s time to move on. I’m not really looking to change careers but move up a little

Sorry to hear about your situation. Is it a real threat? Are you looking around to move too?

I did read in the Metro today the market is doing well if that helps :o

I had to reapply within my organisation as my role was discontinued and replaced with a different role. I have now successfully been appointed to the new role :-)
But at least it kicked me into gear with saving and thinking about what I really want to do in life
Research analyst sounds fancy. Do you work in a particular field?
