Hi everyone,
£6.50 - Went to a 40th birthday lunch for a colleague. Otherwise I bought my own lunch to work.
I have a tax bill coming up for about £854.41 so although I planned to pay off CC2 this month, I'll wait to do that in April or May.
My sister suggested that I apply for a credit card and transfer the balance to it to eliminate the minimum payments. I'm not sure if I'd be approved for a credit card, if I did apply and was rejected it would negatively impact my credit and also even though this feels like a slow process, getting another credit card just seems like another financial thing for me to think about.
I'd be interested to hear about your experiences with credit cards and balance transfers.
Thanks for following the journey DFWs and hello to the lurkers.Credit Card 1 £6,000/£5,322.56 Debit Card £5,000/£2975.3 Credit Card 2 £1200/0 Tax Bill £750/£0 Library Fine £90/£0 Accountancy Bill £720/£0 Cancelled Art Project Donation £15/£0

This week I reached out to speak with people. I called the Uni councellor really early on Thursday morning as I couldn't connect with anyone on Wednesday night.
I also spoke to my cousin this week, it was lovely to catch up with her and she told me not to worry about things in general or money but to keep doing my best and to prioritise my health. I told her that I'm paying off a credit card but when I've paid off the debt, I think I'll tell her about the full amount.
My Stepdad came over yesterday, he asked my sister and I how we feel about the move but her friend was staying over so I couldn't really answer honestly. I'm glad that now I feel like I can talk to him about more things and I look forward to being more open and vulnerable with people moving forward. I want to have friendships where I can be myself and be more open. I've trusted in the past and it hasn't always worked out but I want meaningful friendships. To get to that place I have to trust, or at least try.

Trust is a hard one for me too, but people generally end up disappointing us as we disappoint them sometimes so it is constant exercise in forgiveness. We need to draw boundaries but forgive people too, a difficult balance but it is worth tryingIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Hi everyone,
My weekly update is a bit early today.
The Uni is closed for the Easter break, reopening next Thursday so I'll earn less than expected but I still have enough to cover my bills.
Expected Costs
£854.41 - Tax Bill paid
£29.60 - Gymwear - I bought some gym attire so I can join a gym and start attending classes soon. I've found a gym that costs about £34 per month and I can access lots of different locations so I can go to a gym near work, home or wherever I am in the city. I chosing the right days to attend and looking about high protein snacks and foods I can eat as I know my diet will have to change along with the exercise regime.
I had to use some of my Emergency fund to pay my tax bill so I'll update my signature shortly. I still have over £700 remaining.
My role is still temporary but things are going well, they are giving me a chance to suceed in the role and would like me to travel to their office in the UAE soon to get some training and work on an event I'm helping to organise.
Despite this I don't feel as confident or excited as I thought I would. I know I need to be grateful for this opportunity and I am. My confidence has really taken a knock over the past few months.
And I want to start writing a journal, this paired with exercise should help to calm my negative thoughts down.
I'm trying DFWs. Thanks to you and the lurkers for reading and following this journey.Credit Card 1 £6,000/£5,322.56 Debit Card £5,000/£2975.3 Credit Card 2 £1200/0 Tax Bill £750/£0 Library Fine £90/£0 Accountancy Bill £720/£0 Cancelled Art Project Donation £15/£0
