One of the world’s worst routes for flight timings and tatty old BA aircraft.
Worth saving up a bit for better, but great if you are going for a longer trip and can load a tablet for IFE.

You cannot help yourself can you? You appear compelled to put your negative slant on every one of my posts. Why is it only you?

    Where are your positive contributions?

As to your ridiculous statement about flight timings, by the looks of it, it gets you into BKK in good time for checking in to your accommodation, therefore making the most of your holiday.

The return could be a bit later, but ridiculous to suggest that it's the worst for flight timings. Utter rubbish.
Why would you need to load a Tablet? There have IFE, albeit on a small screen.
The nonsense about a longer trip, is just that, nonsense. What difference does flying BA make to the length of your holiday?
The likelihood is that people would prefer a direct flight for shorter holidays.
All in all, one of your worst posts...and they aren't much good anyway.

Whoops....just noticed this is a hand luggage only fare.

Notwithstanding, BA have a very generous hand luggage allowance.

You can take up to 46 kgs onboard. Though I wouldn't recommend it. ;)
    Hand baggage
    1 handbag/laptop bag (Up to 40cm x 30cm x 15cm/16in x 12in x 6in.)
    1 additional cabin bag (Up to 56cm x 45cm x 25cm/22in x 18in x 10in.)

Definitely worth choosing Thai Airways then.

No, they are part of Star Alliance.

    £474 for the same dates.

Of course you couldn't mention EVA, who are cheaper than THAI, because their flight times are similar to BA's.
So you would have looked even more silly, after criticising BA's flight times.
So dependent on the flight times, you could pay even more than £474 to fly with THAI. Perhaps £511.

Not everyone needs checked luggage. An up to 46 kg hand luggage allowance would suffice for many.

No deal is going to suit everyone. So your increasingly predictable comments are for your benefit only. Trolling if you like.

£376 is not available through BA.com, it’s not worth the hassle dealing with ‘sorry the price has increased’ online travel agents.

BA hand luggage only long haul basic fares mean you board last when all the locker space has been taken, more hassle.

BA’s IFE is terrible on these old B772 aircraft, loading a tablet to take with you is more hassle.

BA’s flight times are very poor with a significant impact on tiredness on both sectors.

Thai offer great flight times, A380 aircraft, good IFE and excellent service, all at a marginal extra cost per flight hour travelled. Sounds worth saving up for.

What is this carp about cost per flight hour? Why has no one else ever written about that here before when considering flights?

Most people look at the end price. £376 versus £511. Best to ignore your pathetic slur on OTAs.

Most aren't flight nerds, scrutinising every aspect of the flight. They want to get there swiftly and safely.

Flight times causing jetlag is also more ridiculousness, since both THAI and EVA have similar flight times. Only THAI has more flight choices.
Perhaps you can explain why the THAI flight of your choice will save you from Jetlag. The specific flight times, in order to help the readers with their choices. Then explain why you think BA flights times are so bad.
Since I've flown this route at least one hundred times, I will be interested to read your theoretical comments.

So the takeaway from your post is that no one should fly to Thailand direct unless they are flying with THAI. What utter nonsense. :rotfl:

All those people flying with EVA should be put on notice. :money:
