Are there any reputable companies which rent out sat navs for taking on holiday?

Or there are offline sat nav apps that are free and work offline also such as navmiiI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.

Firstly what phone contract are you on?
If it's 3 and the country you're visiting is a feel at home country why hire a satnav?0 -
For offline use I've found HereWeGo maps much better than google maps, which never seems to work properly offline even if you've downloaded the maps. With Here you can download the countries you need, or for larger countries the region if you've not got enough space.
If you've not got a smart phone buy a cheap one second hand, it even works on Windows phones.
If you're travelling alone it's worth getting a holder - either one with a suction to attach to the windscreen or one that'll fit in the CD player if the car you're hiring has one.0 -
I would recommend using a smartphone with an offline map application. If you're hiring a car most car hire companies offer a satnav to hire for around £25.0
